No. You are trying too hard to play the victim card. That your friend was allegedly hacked is truly unfortunate; But you have made it clear that he did not take due diligence on his or her end to make sure the account was secure, and the fact that your FC chest was open for exploiters to take advantage of is the fault of the FC leader for allowing too many unsecured accounts to freely access it.

As I've said before, we have ALL the evidence including IP's time stamps, chest history.

That is not evidence that can prove a crime. You have a screenshot of timestamped events. There is no legitimate evidence of hacking in that. I'm sure Square Enix took this into consideration when making it's decision.

I can't believe some of the responses here... Why does "Oh it's your fault" always seem to be the go to reply? As others have pointed out you can still bypass security tokens. In the responses I also didn't see any mention of the account holder not using one either.

It was mentioned that the person in question was not using a token authentication on the account.

Their chest wasn't open for just anyone either, only select individuals could gain access to the gil funds. Someone hacked the user's account, invited and promoted a dummy account, cleared out the gil, then left. I doubt there was a lack of security, an inside job as some like to point out, or carelessness here. Sad truth of today is, no matter how secure you think you are people have a way to hack in and steal your info if they want it. Look at all the latest security breaches for an idea there.

You are right. Security breaches do happen, but mostly to accounts whose users did not take due diligence to secure them.

Umm... The app doesn't use any data afaik. And theres this thing called Wi-Fi. You have to have access to the internet to play the game. so... Yeah...

Also, claiming that the app isnt free because you have to buy a phone.... Like.. Do you claim the game was expensive because you had to buy a ps4/pc? Was your drivers license expensive because you had to buy a car? Your logic is nonsense

In short, having expenses that arn't internalized, isn't the same thing as free. I know economics isn't everybody's strong point, but at least that much should be obvious? That's why we take the teleport instead of walking, walking costs more gil in the long run, from lost opertunity cost.

They do seem horribly inept at handling anything other very easily resolved social issues (Such as someone cussing someone out, as previously stated).

If they ever have to do more then a cursory investigation to get to the root of the problem, they'll most likely just opt for a canned response and abandon it.

This is likely why certain cases such as stalkers (Or in my personal case, some unknown party spreading blatant lies about me behind the scenes) seldom get resolved as if they can't simply reference your chat log or another player's for their answers, they'd rather not bother.

The app itself has 0 cost to purchase, therefore, from a consumer standpoint, it is free.

Adding in the cost of something you ALREADY pay for to say its not free is where the strawman argument comes into play.

When I see these accusations of customer support being useless, I wonder how the initial report looked. Social issues to technical, if you word your report in full detail in a business like manner, it only makes the GMs job easier.

Literally the 1 and only time I've known of a mass issue with actually SE (since people toss Square Enix like it's only XIV) was with Drakengard 3 pre-orders and third party shipment which was known to be faulty.

Oh this is easy. Literally any game published by EA. Their support is a chat box that points you to a forum like this populated by other people having the same issue. That's it. They let you post, whine, ect then ignore you and don't fix your problem. Sometimes the forums will have people working together to solve the problem themselves, cause EA don't give a ****, but most of the time it's just people bitching and getting ignored.
