This is as old as MMO themselves, the good old Guild chest/account stealer. Sorry but, as every MMO I ever played have said about this issue : You should be more cautious with autorisation AND your login info.

They have it covered since its FORBBIDEN to share your login info with anyone. Doing so your FC mate automaticaly assume the responsability of it.

Yeah, he got a roll back to the point before HIS money got stolen, but since we literally have evidence of the dummy account stealing the money (with their name and everything included), surely it would be an easy task to track the 88 million gil, remove it, and give it back to us, all they're doing is giving more funds for RMTers to earn cash with, if anything their lack of action actually incentivizes it.

There are so many simple 5 minute precautions they could do to avoid this:
1.) Add an optional 4 digit pin to the safe so that hackers in your account can't access it.
2.) Make it so that logging on from another IP triggers an account lockout only unlock-able via e-mail recovery (you know, like what happens if you log in from another computer in your house but for some reason doesn't happen if someone from another country logs in to your account)
3.) Have a support team that can actually support people on a case by case basis.

That is already a thing, it will lock your account and ask for email confirmation if you don't have a one-time pass token, which is also a fix for easy password 'hacks'.

My friend didn't have a one time pass token and it didn't lock his account when someone from austria logged in (you can check IPs that have logged in to your account on mog station) for reference my friend is from the UK.

So we have definitive proof someone from Austria hacked into his account and it just let him in, he received no e-mails and it's reasonable to assume his e-mail address has not been compromised so the lock out seems temperamental.

The gil has likely since been distributed all over the place either being sold or spent. It can get messy fast. Quite frankly I'm surprised they do gil rollbacks at all because of that. How did the person get your fc member's login info? (didn't see Gora's response)

Have your friend get a security token is a much better idea.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
