Thanks for the Rising pictures, but a lot of home owners can't use.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into the game and esp the special events. The Rising always hits me in the feels and you didn't disappoint this year with the content and story.
That said, the last few events have given us beautiful artwork to hang in our houses. The problem is that pictures end up going straight into storage or onto retainers, never to be brought out again because of the item limits in houses. My mansion is undecorated in some areas due to slot restrictions. My walls are depressingly bare because of this. It is sad when the main rewards for events have to go totally unused because you have to choose between putting furniture down to cover empty rooms, or putting stuff on the walls.
Please, please, PLEASE, upgrade the furnishing slot availability. I hate that the work you guys put into creating these beautiful pictures go unused because of this. I know it's not as easy as waving a magic wand, but if it's at all possible to do this please do.

Maybe it's time to redo some of your house if you have 500 slots used and bare sections.

Its 400 slots for mansions, actually.

And I do agree with both points here:
Yes, an increased item-limit would be nice.
But using those event-items as an excuse doesnt really work - if you want to hang them, you can change your design a bit. Replace a current picture with a new one. Remove a little tabletop-item somewhere etc. Its totally possible to make use of the event-furniture, which is always rather small, without having to redo the whole house.

Exactly. I have a medium, and only had to redo a small section on one of my floors to accommodate these posters. But I meant to tidy up that section anyway so it worked out. If people really want to use them they will find a way to make them work.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

    I feel you.

400 for a large is... very little.

200 for a small works really well, doubling the items in 6ish times the space does not.

Actually it's 400 slots for a mansion. Sounds like a lot but it's not. I have closed off one room of the mansion to do the rest of it some justice. When I get some new items, I'm always seeing what I have to remove to fit any new housing item that have just come out.

Yeah, mansions are so big, like 3x the size of a Medium, but with only 100 more item slots. Makes it very hard to decorate without closing off sections or making everything look sterile and sparse. Worse if you want to do something fancy, like lofts or elaborate designs.

I'm more or less in charge of our FC-mansion and I've kept the place in the middle of the stairs dedicated to seasonal decoration - each time a new event is around the corner I re-do that specific section, removing the ~20 items or so I've reserved for that part, put up the new stuff and change it around again for the next event.
Personally I feel having such a special corner in your house (you can dedicate a place in a small or medium home) really helps with displaying new furniture aswell as making the home new and intresting again every few weeks without having to re-do the whole thing, which can be a really long and painful process.
My advice to everyone would be to create such a corner in their home - again... more items would always be nice, but using event-furniture is totally possible without.

I don't know how people even come close to the housing item restriction :S

I've got every corner of my medium house filled, a wall item on almost every wall, and I'm barely at 200. A house with max items must be incredibly cluttered.

Even in my FC's large house we have no empty spaces and I think it's just around 300.

Well I imagine when you own a house, as the years go by, things eventually fill up.
