Mystery song in Palace of the Dead

So I haven't played PotD much, and my partner and I have recently been going through it together.

Earlier today a song played that I'd never heard before, but really enjoyed and would like to know what it is, even if it's unfortunately not available as an orchestrion.

I think it was during 11-20, but it might've been 1-10, if that matters. It was like a rock remix of Answers or something? I recognized the melody from Answers, and was surprised I'd never heard that version before.

I Googled it a bit and saw a number of suggestions that were wrong (like Spiral), and also just no help at all. So I was hoping someone on the forums would know what it was.

He Who Continues the Attack is nothing like Answers though (that particular track was a remix of the Azys Lla theme).

This is a wild stab in the dark here but would it be Tempest, the phase 1 Nael van Darnus theme from Rivenroad in 1.0 and Turn 9 of the Second Coil of Bahamut in ARR? The reason I ask is it has part of Answers at the start ("Hear, feel, think, teach, speak"), and is indeed a rock theme (which as it was composed by Nobuo Uematsu like Answers was it's little wonder). I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Definitely not. I'm quite familiar with that one, since I like it quite a lot.

And also unfortunately not. It's funny that you both suggested songs I like from the game.

It would be nice if zones/dungeons/etc. said what song was playing when it started, like in housing with orchestrions.

Thinking on it again (and because I've heard this track in PotD myself), is another track from 1.0, called Bathed in Woodsin (it was the old 1.0 Gridanian battlecraft levequest track), and does sort of have a similar melody to Answers. It's a longshot though.

Unfortunately that's also not it. :/ I'm hearing a lot of music from the game that I've never heard before though, so that's nice.

I definitely recall saying "oh this is like a remix of Answers" so I don't think it's a matter of sounding similar, but that it actually was the same melody. It's weird that it's so hard to figure out. I'm tempted to go back into PotD and try to have it play again, but with all the songs that seem to be in it, it could take forever. Maybe it was all a dream.
