    Umm no though that is one of the benefits for sure but I also want them to be able to implement the mob scaling to make the game harder and change the "within 10 ranks" thing to a more normal "within 3 ranks" as currently it is crazy to allow such huge gap which makes power levelling stupidly easy.

    I'm gonna have to go with "Against Level-Sync" for now. As I can see it being useful in the future, with the balancing of things and Battle System changes in the process right now, it's not a good idea till things get sorted out. Seems like some people think you just flip a light switch and then we have Level-Sync. There are way to many things to look into to add it right now. Examples:
    R50 Armor/Weapons - Stats Level Sync to R30? for example
    R50 Skills - Way more effective at Optimal Rank than @ Lower than Optimal
    Due to the balancing issues SE would have to work on ATM to add Level-Sync, I feel their time is better spent working on other "Content" to add Fun to the Game, rather than an easier way to level.
    Because nothing is stopping anyone in this game from playing with their friends ATM, it only hinders the ability to level up effectively with "Friends" ATM whom are at a lower/higher Rank. There are other more important issue than this currently.

    R50 Weapons and armour would scale exactly as they do now so that system is already in place, maybe they could lower the degrade though because you are actually Optimal Rank in reality so thats not a problem.

    Skills should scale as they do now when they are used below optimal rank, can't have someone sync down to R30 but still have full use of R50 abilities that would be crazy, so thats not a problem.

    Balance is a problem but if they implement it now they can ensure that all future content is already balanced with level sync in mind.

    How does it make it easier to level??? People keep saying it but no one says how.

    Yes the current system does hinder me from playing with my friends if we are 3xR30 and they are R46 and we do leves the SP gets completely killed which means it is pointless to do and puts a downer on things which makes it less fun and when I play a game I expect to have fun.

    Yes there are other issue that need addressing first that goes without saying but I would still like them to at least consider Level Sync's implementation as soon as possible so they don't have to go back and rebalance x amount years worth of content if they leave it for a long time or do what they did in FFXI and not rebalance at all.

    Like this comment much better.

    I realize ATM Level Sync isn't in place. But as you seem to be fairly skilled. You should show your low rank friends how to Power Level. That should at least get them close for now.

    I was starting to think along similar lines. At the end of the day I think it that level sync is coming as mods only tend to comment in threads that they will take it up with the devs for features that are coming. As they commented here already then I guess it is most likely already on the cards.

    well there are some issues, but its probably a good idea, eventually, one thing that would have to change though is the difference in exp for low levels and high levels. a level 10 can easily get 700 exp in a fight, a level 50 would have to fight a god to get that much exp.

    i think i got 2k exp for one kill at level 1.

    and you would have to make it so you cant link to a DoH or DoL since they get no exp.
    link with a level 10 GS and kill level 20 mobs forvever for hax exps.

    but yeah it would take some work, i wouldnt want to see them do this before major content, but if they can do it alongside with no loss, its a good idea, and probably needs to exist in some form by ps3 release time, or if the game gets more popular, because there isnt so many jobs that any one playing from start wont have trouble playing with any new people/friends that left. Even if they have 1 or 2 jobs left that arent 20+ they probably hate those jobs sooo

    I agree with those who said it's needed but they should wait... And yes, they have their priorities and this isn't a big issue now, but again, like others have said, it one day will be.

    Anyway, since most of my friends are waiting for PS3 release, I know I can wait, but hopefully we'll hear more about this and more about the new battle system in general, that is what I'm most excited about.

    Instead of starting a new thread I figured I would necro this one. I want a REAL answer from the devs concerning this feature seeing as we haven't heard anything about it other than the passing along of information.
