    New Notorious Monster 2.0

    So me and a few guys just ramble on about what we think would be cool to do if it was possible as far as NM's actions and etc. So i had fun doing this so i decided to make this thread is for fun and maybe propose a few ideas to the developers and they be like oh didn't think of that but that would be cool or w/e but here we go have fun and open your mind.

    Okay so first one is like a Kraken.

    So Kraken would be sitting in the middle of a big lake or by the waterfall with the new PDF files i see a couple of water falls.

    Moves:

    Tremble: Kraken whips out his tenacles and does aoe damage to party.

    Rush: Kraken dives in the water and hit the ground underneath the players causing a stun effect and low aoe damage.

    Recover: Kraken dives under water making it unable to attack; using thundara or something to stun it right before it the Kraken submerges him self only way to stop it.

    Death Snag:Kraken grabs one of you party members and submerges the pc in water. Which slowly or quickly makes the pc's hp gone down. Stop this by doing a set amount damage to that arm. (this is my favorite)

    Dragon NM: ( I Hope dragons actually fly into battle this time instead of just poping that would be awesome.)

    Touchdown: When the dragon comes down and hit the ground (IMO a dragon is a heavy mofo and to me a soft landing for him would be a hard landing for humans) it would do moderate aoe damage. SS UP!

    Tail Spike: When you stand behind the dragon you can get a 180 degree hit that does massive damage. (Yes, they had this in FFXI but, it was 360 and it never made since to me cause the mob didn't spin in a 360 and the tail i figure can only go about 180 imo.)

    Body Snatch:This move the dragon would fly up in the air and grab one of your party members. It would drop them a little bit away from the party (this could be anywhere around you but at maximum a certain distance.)and would be instant KO. Dragon would come back and attack your party. (I thought this would be sick and make it so much harder when he throws some one away from you group you already down 1 member then you have to send someone to raise him and hurry and get back.)

    Breath:Frontal AOE: Adds burn effect does moderate damage. (Sacred Prism > Esuna)!!


    These are just two things we talked about we have talked about many more. Like i said this thread is for fun so have fun with it and please ignore the move names we like to talk about what they do not the name of it lol. Please feel free to add on to these or to create your own NM. Have fun!

    Lantern's Light - A move he uses regulary, it charges the lantern he is holding, every time he uses it the lantern gets a little brighter, once the lantern gets charged enough he does his special move 'Everyones Grudge' wiping the entire party in true Tonberry style!

    Everyone's Grudge - Instant Death to all (only used when lanterns light is charged)

    Chef's Knife - Moderate attack with a stab of his knife, only dmgs single target.

    Throat Stab - A full aoe attack, deals high dmg and resets hate.

    great ideas so far and I would love to see some Yoshi-p love in this thread! I'll toss one in for good old throwback nostalgia.

    Family: Behemoth
    NM: King Behemoth, Behemoth ect.

    Meteor: Instant cast below 20%. Huge Area of Effect damage (30 Yalms of the spell target). Can use only once or spam it non stop.

    Ecliptic Meteor: 500ft - 1100ft Area of Effect damage, small range. Paralyze and Bio on the characters it hits.

    Accursed Armor: Behemoth gains Curse Spikes. Can remove curse with Cursna (new spell 2.0) or Holy Water (new ALC recipe 2.0). Can not remove via Esuna. Prevents healing the afflicted character's HP temporarily.

    Amnesic Blast: Single Target damage with Amnesia status. Goes through Decoy and Stoneskin.

    Kick Out: Used when hate is generated from behind the Behemoth.

    Howl: Gives the Behemoth a substantial attack boost.

    Wild Horn: Cone shaped damage originating from the front of the Behemoth.

    Thunderbolt: 30ft Area of Effect lightning damage centered around the Behemoth. Affects everyone in range.

    Shock Wave: Cone shaped damage originating from the front of the Behemoth.

    Flame Armor: Gives the Behemoth a Blaze Spikes (new spell in 2.0) effect.

    *The Behemoth's regular attacks have an additional effect of Stun.


    Now since we've already confirmed a Behemoth mob in the Concept Art for 2.0 we can only hope that it will have all of these moves at it's disposal for an interesting fight!

    • Curaja - AOE heals a large amount player characters' HP
    • Sweet Breath - Cone shaped AOE attack that causes a very powerful Refresh Effect on all hit.
    • Sorrowful Cry - AOE attack that causes heavy amnesia. (Duration: 2 min)
    • Dream Veil - Physical attacks on Snurble King grant it a cumulative Magic Def and Magic Evasion Bonus
    • Silken Sheen - Magic attacks on Snurble King grant it a cumulative Def and Evasion Bonus
    • Aether Lash - Ranged attack that deals damage equal to the target's current MP value.
    • Feedback Bomb - Very large AOE attack that does damage to each target equal to that target's current HP value (begins to use at 20% HP and immediately before dying)

    This'd be an instanced fight in a small circular room, accessed from an Aetherial Node that appears in Ul'dah
    • Lost in Translation: All text during the first 1/4 of the fight is in Japanese, unless all party members are wearing a subligar.

    • Flavor of the month: Can only take damage from 1 of the 3 types of damage (Ranged, Melee, or Magic). Completely immune to the other 2 forms of damage until ability is used again.

    • For whom the bell tolls: AoE Doom that hits the entire party. 10 second countdown. To remove the doom effect, a player must hit a bell like the ones we had for the initial Christmas and new years events.

    • Materia Cluster Fu-I mean Geyser: AoE damage and knockback. 85% chance to put a random piece of gear to 0% durability. Can be dodged by running out of range.

    • Delay Patch: Has a small chance of happening below 10% HP. Antecedent Doblyn King despawns and a message appears in say: "Sorry for the inconvenience" .

    • Server Lag: Sometimes players get hit with abilities regardless of if they did what they were supposed to in order to dodge it in time.

    Bahamut we all know he is coming and he wrapped around that tower in Mor' Dhana (spell check) but it think it would be cool that if the tower rises because of Dalmund (the red moon) getting closer to the ground that we fought like the first fight of a series with Bahamut. For example the tower starts to rise and form the crystal tower (idk if this is going to happen of course i am just saying) and it awakes him from sleep. We fight Bahamut in an instance or w/e where the tower is the center and it's rising to form the Crystal tower. Land can break away from the battle field and debris could fall from the sky that you have to dodge. All this going on and fighting bahaumt would be epic. have the final cut-scene bring the tower to full position. In the cut-scene the ground is still breaking away from you and you barely make it across before the rest of the land crumbles under neath and the fully resurrected crystal tower stands in all it glory in front of you.
