DIRECTX 11 crashes

I recently rebuilt my computer and ever since I have been unable to play FFXIV for more than a half hour max before the game crashes giving me DirectX 11 errors. I have rebuilt my PC in the past without issue, and I can't think of what could be causing these problems. Keeping in mind the only component in my PC that DID NOT change for the upgrade was my GPU. Everything else is new.
I have successfully ran memtest, prime95, and multiple passes of Unengine Superposition without a hitch since the rebuild. I have tried every arbitrary thing the internet has recommended including; reinstalling the game, reinstalling windows, clean install of graphics drivers, turning off VSync, downclocking my GPU, making sure the game is running as administrator, running in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and 8, disabling any and all overlays (discord, default xbox game garbage), uninstalling geforce experience, making sure PhysX is assigned to my gpu, making power preference maximum in Nvidia control panel, reseating ALL components, not using reshade, and I am sure there are more options I am forgetting. If no help can be found I am going to completely reinstall Windows as a clean slate, deleting all personal data and applications and starting fresh again.
I am really at my wit's end with this. I love this game and really don't want to stop playing, but if I can't play for more than 5-30 minutes at once, there's no reason to force other players to deal with my crashes.

I have been experiencing the issues for the last 3 days. Yes there have been updates and changes made to the PC as indicated above. There is no pattern to the crashes, and they occur anywhere and everywhere.

Could you provide an image of the error message on your next reply? Do you experience a crash with any other game or is it only Final Fantasy XIV? Is the PC experiencing any over heating and do you notice any memory leaks?

I have not experienced these crashes in any other game including The Witcher 3 which I played for an hour today on Ultra just to try and force a crash.
I also do not believe there is any overheating going on. Here is a link to a screenshot featuring the temp maxes during when the last crash occured. https://imgur.com/nFIZexb
I also do not believe there are any memory leaks.

If you have not done so already, could you try doing a cleanboot? Open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. Is anything being over clocked?

Hi, i have a new PC and i had this crashes too. But maybe i have found a solution.


1. In the launcher there is a button "Config". Press this button.
2. Press the "Back up" button and then save the configuration into a file. This will save your keyboard-settings etc.
3. Quit the launcher
4. Go into the Documents\My Games-Folder and delete/rename the "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn"-folder.
5. Start the launcher again, press "Config", press "Back up" and restore your configuration.
6. Start the game.


This fixed the "11000002" errors on my machine. It seems that a hardware or a driver change can trigger this error.
