New Food Stats - hrrrmmm :/

are these more or less confusing than the last system? The use of %'s is great but this whole 'cap' system seems to be making it even more complicated....What do you guys think?

Also, im assuming that rank requirements are no more? So a level 1 char can eat some Orobon Stew and get the same boost as a level 50?

And what kind of stats bonus does that give you? Did you find it to be Divine??

Food makes perfect sense to me. It's the exact same system that was in XI

+stat% up to a maximum bonus of X

A low level has no reason to use a high level food since the percentage gain from their base stat will be so much smaller than that of a level 50. 8% of 100 atk (just using simple numbers) is only 8 attack, and the high tier foods cap at like 40 or 50 attack, whereas the lower ones are in like the 20s.

ah this is making sense now. "lower level" food now = higher% but lower cap, and reversed for higher levels. brill! thnx for the clarity

Yea, the point of Stat Percentages is so that Level 50 food doesn't make level 1 Characters super powerful.

And/or so a Level 50 character can no longer just munch on low-level food for the same effect as high-level food.

Same percentage boost. In terms of absolute points, he'll only get a small fraction of the level 50 would get. He'd actually get more eating a low-level food.
