Deploying off of the tanks has always been a bad thing to do ever since deployment tactics was put in the game. I'm not sure why anyone thought it would be different now. Even if catalyze was used up first, still a chance the hit would be hard enough to break through catalyze and effect the galvanize.

It used to be bad because the critlo could be spread, so that doubled shield was for everyone. Now the doubled shield is only for 1 person, and if I'll deploying, it's for raid wide damage. Why would I need a second shield on myself when after the raid wide I'm not taking anything? It's useless on me, but the tank is still getting auto'd, so itd actually be useful on him. If I could still spread the entire critlo, then yeah, no reason to spread off tank, but now if decide to use recitation for an adlo, I cant really spread that off the tank, because the shield will be weaker, but then the secondary shield becomes entirely useless on a dps or myself.

Answered the "why" in a couple of posts previously. And an auto is unlikely to eat through the catalyze and damage the galvanize in a few of the savage encounters, even less likely if you pair it up with healing buffs or another shield. Although I agree it could happen, esp in 4s.
The thing is, catalyze is otherwise useless outside of deploying off of the tank (since you don't need to actually shield your tanks for busters). Adding everything together, it's pretty clear how recitation + addlo and catalyze are meant to be used. It's just that we can't even attempt at using it that way with how things currently are. Instead we just deploy off ourselves and catalyze goes to waste. (this is assuming you would want to use recitation of course, but it's the same either way)
