the instances have their purpose to prevent clusterbombing during the early weeks/months of the expansion, but I cant wait for them to be gone. Even though I know i can benefit greatly from Hunt trains across the data center, I dont even bother doing hunts while instances are a thing bc its just annoying to have to switch so often.I really like being able to switch instances when, for example, notorious gathering bot players are active and I tire of seeing that train of characters following the same flight path and hitting nodes in unison.
So staying in the same field zone but changing instances is really nice to escape certain immersion-breakers or unwelcome people you might say. Also useful for questing to avoid massive crowds when new content is added, especially the type of quests that spawn monsters into the field.
The ideal would be removing world-specific instances and just have a unified block of datacenter-wide instances for field zones. So you wouldn't need to use world visit feature at all for field zones and just have access to the same selection of field instances regardless of what world you're currently on.
On Goblin at least even during peak times I'd probably say the amount of people I see per zone spread amongst instances is around 50-70. So it won't be too bad once the instances stop.
But it will absolutely hurt the hunt trains since they're missing 4 a ranks per zone. If you do the math that's missing out on 24 A marks a train also not including the S ranks for Shadowbringers.
