There have been discussions elsewhere on the forum regarding the LFP issue and the party creation system in general. Since this thread was a hot topic in the past, I wanted to cross-post an update to it.

We discussed all of the latest opinions with Yoshida. While it won’t make it in time for the implementation of the raid dungeons that the development team is working on currently, we’re planning on implementing enhanced LFG (looking for group) and automated party creation features.

Also, while it won't be an easy task, we are also checking into the discussions for a cross-World instant party creation system.

Please continue to leave feedback so that your time and experiences while tackling dungeon-related content in the future can be enjoyable!

People don't use it for many reasons.

1. PLing has made low level parties almost a pointless endeavour.
2. New players (and some old) don't know how to use the search feature (in game tutorial would help, not a silly explanation on the lodestone)
3. No icon next to peoples names means there is no attention drawn to the feature (In FFXI people knew what the ! mark icon was, new players would ask what is that ?)

I use the search feature daily but have yet to get an invite from it, problem certainly doesn't lie with me.

Didn't say the problem was with you, just saying when SE implements this other people would end up being too lazy to use it just like all the other "functions". Are people now going to sit in uldah with an ! up and not just shout for pt? Are they going to sit in front of the dungeon with a ! up looking for a pt? There is already an ! beside your name in the LFG search box. All people have to do is bring that up / actually use it and see all the people who are !-ing for a group. The player base as a whole prefers shouting for a party. "It's easier". Nothing implemented by SE would change that.
