we were warned ahead of time that head gear would not work for most things. i don't know what you were expecting.
Apparently Au Ra had all hair+headgear when they came out so logic follows that they would do the same the next time they release new races but instead of waiting/hiring people or resources and doing things correctly they rushed them out to make this result. It's just not ok.
They could have also just outright disabled headgear instead of Busting their butts to try and make Some of it work. Im happy that we at least got Something instead of nothing at all.Apparently Au Ra had all hair+headgear when they came out so logic follows that they would do the same the next time they release new races but instead of waiting/hiring people or resources and doing things correctly they rushed them out to make this result. And now, they can work on improving it.
I have faith in this team, despite what goes wrong, ALOT more goes right.
I think this is something a lot of people don't get. I swear to god you all come across as a bunch of Azulas. This one thing goes wrong and it's the end of the world. Complain and they will fix it but it will take time.
Personally, I'm understanding of the lack of resources being a factor of not getting some things implemented over others in a timely way and such but, I have a problem with this ALWAYS being the reason. There is something wrong when FFXIV is bringing SE to prosperity almost single handedly from many years of regression and FFXIV is still stiffled by *lack of resources*. Whatever conversation that needs to be had between the higher ups of FFXIV and SE to get this ironed out should be a priority imo.
Not that they probably haven't tried or are trying but whatever higher up in SE is the shot caller for this needs to wake up. So many things are falling on the backburner that could be QoL for the entire community and could also help drive revenue upwards.
Why would you not devote more resources to the franchise driving your main revenue atm?

I hear there's a free fantasia promotion going on.Apparently Au Ra had all hair+headgear when they came out so logic follows that they would do the same the next time they release new races but instead of waiting/hiring people or resources and doing things correctly they rushed them out to make this result. ♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Yes, those people did on so their off hours, on their own accord and deserve a bonus for it. I had faith in Square Enix in the 2010 and was rewarded with 1.0. Success can lead to arrogance and in business arrogance can lead to failure. There is nothing wrong call out a successful team; it keeps them humble, grounded, and hungry. They could have also just outright disabled headgear instead of Busting their butts to try and make Some of it work. Im happy that we at least got Something instead of nothing at all.

Naoki Yoshiida- https://www.gdcvault.com/play/1020796/Behind-the-Realm Why FFXIV Failed "The mindset that the solution to every problem could be patched in a future patch." Though he was talking about why FFXIV 1.0 Failed that statement hold true to all game development. Fallout 76, No Man's Sky, Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda

I believe the point of that line is more about development and fixing issues BEFORE they go live rather than pushing a buggy mess out the door with the idea you can just patch the bugs later. Obviously some bugs are missed and make it through, but when your testers are telling you about things that are wrong, and you ignore them and push the content out anyways with all those bugs you were aware of still there, well that's a problem.
