SE, the dev team needs some more resources.

Once a dev team has to start weighing out options for what implementations/additions is top priority for the game and which is on hold or scrapped altogether, especially when it comes to content that should be in the game without question, it's time for more resources on the dev team. I'll give only a few of examples, 1. primal weapons for the new jobs, Yoshi said they just couldn't find the time to do it nor can they in the foreseeable future, 2. gear not properly fitting the new races, not enough time, not enough resources, 3. Dev team is pushing beyond the limit as it is to get the content out that they have already, and they have to give up on certain continuing content that was from 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. It's got to be crushing and even frustrating for them as it is for some of us.

One can't deny the possibility of the QoL improvements we could see with that extra helping hand on board. I wouldn't want the dev team cutting anything else out to prioritize one thing over the other anymore either (content as a referred to above) aside from the obviously new ideas/concepts etc that we never hear of or know about.

You can really feel the reality of falling behind setting in. Even if it's in small doses.

SE, please give the team a little extra, pls. I hope it's within financial limits to consider it. I think everyone deserves it, for loyalty and hard work. Anyways, Thank you.

Seems you do not know what game development entails. The situation you describe is how games are made. You think they have unlimited time and money? Or that they keep a high number of subs constantly? Dev time and resources are divided by how much money they are bringing in. This is why in older/less successful MMO's you see skeleton crews working on updates.

throwing all the money and or ppl at a problem is not the solution to fix problems. there are other underlying issues at stake usually. do you know how to run a gaming business? no. stop armchair developing.

The problem isn't the development team resources. It's that each expansion adds new factors they have to worry about:

    From 2.0 to 5.0
-We have gotten 7 new jobs, 1 limited.
    -Deep Dungeons
    -Eureka
-3 new races with individual gear molding.
    -underwater mechanics
    -flying mechanics
-among the usual such as new areas and other things.

Their main issue is time. They are already outsourcing very few things to contractors, but they are trying to avoid 1.0 disaster once again.

I can relate though, since currently I work 12-14 hour days on a night shift. While going to school during the day to try and find something better in my life even at my older age. There's only so far ya can push yourself before you burn yourself out, and if they push too hard mistakes will happen.

People love to talk about the Budget and Resources, not even knowing what it is, or how it actually effects development.
Its not always money and manpower, its also from a technical standpoint. Just because you want something or because X game had/has it, doesn't mean every game can or will have it. There are things that go into making and coding a game Im sure none of us understand, so sitting here acting like more money and more people will fix it is just wishful thinking and ignorance.
    No offense.

The good thing is, Luminous Studio is an in house engine though, so they can freely adapt it over time, as they have several dozens of times now. Why I feel it's more time vs inability. Even when I used to work with that horrible engine called Gamebryo, I could make wonderful things in it. But the time needed was always the kicker, idea to get around certain limits etc and how to implement them.

Arrogance and blind loyalty is what caused huge issue for Square Enix all those years ago and we don't need to see history repeat. True with complex issue like glamour dresser in housing, inventory, server constraints, etc; money and people can't fix problems quickly. But more people, who sole purpose was to create and reskin armor onto the new character models, would have address the issues the OP is mentioning. No, the above image is unacceptable.

    i loled at the picture.

But the thing is getting people also takes time. they need to be trained up and if i remember correctly finding people with experience in MMORPGs is/was very difficult in Japan.
