Can someone explain to me how rolls work in raids - Eden.

So I've been trying for the last two weeks to either get the helm, belt or gloves from Eden and I have NO idea how rolls actually work. So on my first Raid I rolled Need on the belt and rolled a 99.....everyone kept screaming roll so I went ahead and rolled need on everything else and got a bangle wich I rolled a 26 on. What? Why didn't it give me my high roll? I don't get that. So on the next one I rolled really high on the helm and when everyone started screaming to roll I went ahead again but this time I rolled greed on everyhting else and got yep, another bangle that I rolled an 8 on. How does this crap work exactly? Do I just need to roll on the one or two Items I actually need and make everyone wait? I hate to do that when they all start screaming to roll but I'm really tired of needing these items week after week and no matter how high I roll I don't get them.

In Eden Normal, you can get 1 piece of gear loot from each fight each week. So by rolling on the bangle and winning, you invalidated your 99 on the belt. It's based on which item has all the rolls completed for it first, so all 8 people did their rolls on the bangle before the belt had all 8 rolls in.

If you're fine with whatever, then just roll on everything + win what you get, otherwise you need to look up which pieces you need from each fight + roll for those and then pass on the others so that you don't accidentally win them, and then do the fights again until you get what you want.

Eden Savage works differently, you can roll for everything + win everything if you're lucky. But you can't re-do a fight for another attempt at gear, you have to wait a week.

When everyone screams at you to roll ignore them, there are three things you need to remember with rolls in eden.

    1. Once everyone has rolled on an item the highest roll for that specific piece gets it.
    2. You can only win one item per week.
    3. Everyone rolls tacticly to try and get the piece they want, screaming at people to roll on everything is a dirty little trick people use when rolling tacticly.

So people pass on the items they don't want, and hold off rolling on the ones they do. They then wait for these pieces to go before rolling on the ones they want. This way they have less competition for the items they want.

Some people wait it out, others try to presure people to roll on everything even tho they have not in the hopes that they will. That way the item they want is not rolled on by them so does not complete but others do since everyone has rolled, so the people that have given into the demands to roll get something else lessening the competition.

So you roll 99 on the belt, others want it so they start demanding everyone rolls on everything, so you go ahead and roll, since the demanders have not rolled on this piece but everyone has rolled on others you win a differant piece instead and they get a better chance at it instead.

It is a nasty trick played by some people, passing on the stuff you don't want and waiting for it to go fair does. But they using roll pressure to get others to roll on everything and clear stuff they don't want, even tho they have not rolled on everything themselves.

Or you know they want to get out of the instance so that they can do other things and just want to see if they get the item they rolled on. It's not any more mean for people to want things to happen in a timely manner vs those who want to play the run out the timer game.

You can always just "pass" on the items you dont want - that will count as your roll.

Ah, yes, not wanting to wait around twiddling your thumbs for five minutes is such a nasty thing. How dare they want to go on about their business in a timely manner.

To the OP, I have to ask why you rolled for items unrelated to the gear that you were trying to get. It's not as though the pass option is hidden.

Basically, your 26 or 8 beat what everyone else rolled for the item, and since you won it you automatically passed on everything else because you can only get one item per week. It's on an individual item, first come first serve basis.

There's your problem. You can only get one piece per raid per week. By rolling need or greed on something you don't want, you've introduced the risk of winning that item. For anything you don't want, choose pass and keep running the raid until you get the reward you like.

I wasn't talking about people who wanna go about there business, i was specifically referencing people who use it to trick others into taking pieces off the board then roll after to increase there chances. I was warning op about a trick alot of people play, y'know conning others to increase their chances, not those who just wanna get on with stuff.

I have seen people demand everyone roll on everything then after other stuff has gone the people demanding everyone rolls then roll on one or two items so they have less competition more often than i have seen people ask everyone to roll then not roll on other items themselves after. What i said is completely legit.

Yeah maybe sometimes it is a case of people not wanting to wait around, but fact is i have seen people use it to try and trick people into taking other items so many times that it is a fair comment that people use it as a nasty trick because they do.

As for waiting around, you are allowed to roll at any time during the timer. Passing on items you don't want and hoping for them to clear is literally how most people do it. I will pass on what i don't want, if they go great if it does not then others are wanting them items specifically just as i am and i roll against them and take my chances fairly.

End of the day i don't want to have to redo a raid for specific loot just because someone is pressuring me to roll on everything so they don't have to wait a couple of minutes or want to to try and get me to roll on something else so they have less competition. But i will never use tricks like that. Rolling tactically is one thing, trying to trick others is just dirty play.

Yeah i know some people do not agree with tactical voting and will call out against me for my posts, but when you do please call me out for what i am doing instead of misrepresenting something i said. You got your ways i got my ways, so long as no one is doing anything scammy and is within the game rules everyone is free to play however they wish.

    3. Everyone rolls tacticly to try and get the piece they want, screaming at people to roll on everything is a dirty little trick people use when rolling tacticly.

Its "people dont want to wait 5 minutes" and have half the stuff rot because someone wants a helm and 2 people wants boots and 1 person wants gloves but someone doesnt want to roll on anything or just pass stuff they KNOW they dont want (like helms for a vast majority of jobs).

With normal raids I tend to go into each floor with a "I want X piece, but if I dont win it, ill grab an accessory so I dont have to re-clear the floor". I assume most people do similar.
