Unable to transfer alt from Light/Zodiark to Aether/Faerie?

I am trying to figure out why I can't transfer my alt character I made on Light/Zodiark to Aether/Faerie where my main is?

I meet all the conditions, the character wasn't created on a New/Preferred world so there shouldn't be any 90 day restrictions. I am logged out by the Gridania aetheryte, have released retainers, have no mail and don't have an FC.

When I select my desired homeworld, it shows my main on Faerie and states "No Other Eligible Characters"??

I am not sure why I wouldn't be able to transfer? I originally created my alt on the EU server because I had a few online friends from their, but I am realizing it is not optimal and want to have my alt with my main.


I just can't seem to figure out what is happening because it gives me no reason...

Desired homeworld would be where you are transferring to, and another is Current World or something like that. Are you selecting the correct box for the system to find your alt?

Edit: I just checked it myself. So the first option is Desired World, you select where you want to go to (Faerie?) then Confirm. Next option is current homeworld, so select wherever your alt is (Zodiark?) and Confirm. Hopefully that should go through and let you proceed to the next page.

Do you have a Standard subscription? If you're an Entry sub, you can only have one character per server.

Yeah, I am doing this and it saying there are no characters available. It is strange because I don't think Zodiark has been classified as new/preferred at any point recently.

I'm not really sure then because even if there was some restriction on that character the system would still let you select it and then on the next page mention if anything is preventing the move (i.e. 90 day restriction, retainer selling stuff, still in FC etc)

Junsei mentioned Entry Subs so perhaps that is something but never had it so couldn't comment how that works in the transfer menu.

Just upgraded as in you changed the plan or just upgraded as in its actually billed you for a month using the standard plan? If you just change the plan I'm not sure that it gives you the perks until your next billing cycle, but I could be wrong.

That being said, did you hit 'confirm'? When you select your desired homeworld, it shows you any characters that are on the world in question. Its only when you hit 'confirm' does it let you then select the source world from which the character you're transferring is coming from.

Yes, I did this. It also charged me the extra $1 for the subscription change. I am wondering if it is because I made this character just on Sunday? Is there a restriction for new created characters?

At least three full days need to pass from character creation for them to be eligible to transfer (in addition to all the other requirements).

The Home World Transfer Service cannot be used under the following circumstances:
- Your character has been transferred from Version 1.0, but has not logged into a World since the start of official service for FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- Your character has yet to complete the quest Close to Home.
- Your character is not displayed on the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station's service account selection screen.
* You are required to log out from FINAL FANTASY XIV before newly created characters are reflected on the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station. Please note that it may take time for newly created characters to appear after logging out.
- Less than three days have passed since the character to be transferred has been created.

Thanks for this. My apologies. I was reading through everything and I missed that line. I for some reason thought that applied to if you had recently transferred not created. Thank you and sorry for the trouble!
