Idk. Feels kinda weird seeing rewards related to expansion content that not every player will necessarily have reached yet.

It's definitely a bit odd, but most seasonal events do have 'level appropriate' rewards and they just seem to make an exception for the Rising since it's all about celebrating the game's history.

Still can be confusing from a new player's perspective - I'd only just reached story Lv15 for the Rising 2017, and here's this weird bard guy talking to me like I've been all through Stormblood, and some minions for characters I haven't even met yet...

On some more current-spoilery notes...

Spoilers are such an odd thing in this game because newcomers may or may not get spoiled by anything from trailers playing at the menu screen to Mog Station items to titles and minions that other players are using. (Saw someone commenting that seeing other players with the G'raha Tia minion spoiled/confirmed the Exarch's identity before they got to it... long-term, people might see there's a minion at the point when they've only done CT, and figure out he's coming back in ShB when they look up how to get it.)

And if we're presumably getting a set of new-outfit Scions, the Urianger minion would be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't got up to the WoD arc yet, where you're not supposed to recognise him at first. He's in the trailer looking like that of course, but they might have avoided watching it.

Also I learned that Yotsuyu was still alive after Doma Castle not because I'd finished Stormblood yet, but because she was on the current patch banners at the launcher as I was working through it.

So.... yeah, it's weird. But there's similar weirdness all over the place.

While the items look do look nice. The only problem with posters and other furnishings is that quite a lot of players don't have anywhere to put them...

Well Y'shtola is basically the Mascot/Representiative for FF14 now. Majority of cross-over event usually involves her being the representative for FF14. I will not be surprised if Y'shtola is the only Scion to stick with the WoL if we manage to get a Season 2 storyline set after Zodiark's defeat.

Makes sense. I'm happier to have replicas really - I don't want to be taking something that other people regard as 'special' but I really appreciate those red metallic hoop earrings. We need more colour choices for those.

...ooh, just looked them up and they're Lv1 instead of Lv20 like the originals! Finally, something else I can glamour on the aetheryte earring that isn't a bulky novelty mascot! The weathered gold earrings just don't look right with some outfits.

Serious note: I really like the rewards. I can't get enough of different posters to set up. My retainers are bursting with housing stuff so I hope that SE opens wards on Spriggan/Twintania soonish.... Maybe... hopefully... yes?
