yeah, 5/8 wont get nothing and the other 3 drop something, while atm 1 out of 8 can drop all the loot and 7/8 get nothingThat's the nature of the beast right now, and you yourself point out 5/8 aren't gonna get anything even with your proposed solution. Under the old system, your loot just would never drop--that "20 weeks" figure (ignoring that most don't field a full set of Savage accessories) more or less happened to my group in Sigmascape. Our nin and bed didn't get a single Aiming drop from the first floor for the whole tier, had to buy all of their accessories from the vendor.
This is the best loot system XIV has had for a while, probably ever, for Savage.
as i said in the main post
all can need the their first item, if you drop it, all your other roll become greed.
if no one needs them, then the roll passes to greed. guarantee that at least 5/8 drop something with the first roll, if not the greed rolls will count and you can drop all the items of that floor of you got lucky on the greed rolls

In the previous system, you could have run 4 weeks and not a single piece would have dropped for your job. How is that better?

In the old system, if two healer pieces dropped, then only healers could Need and chances were no one else could have gotten them. In the current system, everyone who took part in the fight has a chance of getting loot, and every piece of gear will go to use since the winner gets to decide which job to use it on. I get that it may be annoying if one person gets everything, but you can prevent this by creating your own group with your own rules (there also may be downsides to this, such as statics only gearing their DPS players first). But if you're going with the in game system, every single person has an equal chance for everything.

im talking about the new one, can you focus on that please?
the old sytem was bad, we agreed on that, but the new one is not perfect by any means. my main and only issue is that if you clear the fight and 1 / 8 gets EVERYTHING its not fair for the other 7. by any measure thats not fair at all.
that's the way the cookie crumbles?old system old system old system.

old system - if everything was for your class and you were that only class you could get everything.
new system - everything is for every class and your rolls are godly you can get everything.
not really much difference.
at least you still have a page.
this is how extending content works. longevity. sure yoshi-p says take a break when you're done with stuff but if ppl expect to be fully geared out within 4 weeks of savage that's also bad.
RNG is RNG and it will never be "fair" - thats why the game has two safety nets in place:old system old system old system.

1) an alternative way to get gear by spending tomestones, a currency you're guaranteed to get
2) an alternative way to get raid-gear by spending the pages you're guaranteed to get
Yes, one person can get all 4 pieces of loot - but how likely is that? I'm asking because I'm to tired to do the math right now, so I'll just leave that out there: How likely is that one person outrolls 7 other people 4 times in a row?
Even if you dont like people bringing up the old system: I bet you its way less likely than getting 4 drops that are absolutly useless to the group you're just in...
Personally I think that the game has added a lot of ways to ensure that everyone can get their BiS-set eventually and a decent set more or less "straight away". Requests like this always make me wait for the day when someone asks "Hey, I queued for the current Savage and we started the fight, but wiped after 2 minutes and now I want a full Savage-set to drop right into my inventory because I attempted the fight and want my reward for that!"

This was a terrible idea honestly and I've hated it since I cleared E1S and saw it.
Even for premades it is bad because serious people will just funnel all the gear to their highest DPS players leaving healers and tanks (and maybe even dancers/bards) high and dry and it's just not fun.
I wouldn't really call something that makes even less people want to play healer in the expansion where we have a healer shortage a good change personally.

What does this have to do with healers? My post was about how the savage loot works now. And it's a good change for Statics.
Your post describes the actually problem, the mentality of people and the 'me me me' selfish people. Raiding is a group effort. Gearing up the DPS is more efficient. And again all the loot going to our DPS first is an improvement to our group. The group DPS increases much more then it would if me, co-tank or one of our healers got the drop and there are no issues in tanking or healing anyway.
Individual parses and going for purple and orange comes after the tier is done and we have it on farm. We are not a hardcore raid group. We're only at 3/4 so far.
Explain how gearing up healers first would be an improvement?
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
