How about a fanart contest and prices be a poster furnish of that art

(I think I already suggested (or thinked) this a while ago) SE has had various fanart contest with various rewards (I have participated on some), and on FFXIV we have some for gear, furnish, screenshot etc.

I would really like and participate with all my might on a fanart contest that rewards with your art to be part of the game

I think it would not be as cost consuming (besides judging staff and organization time) since the furnishing item is just as the ones already on game with other image (like I think the various posters for the next rising event)

My idea pitch would be something like:

An annual event where, to have more winner spots, each region compete for ~3 places based on an specific theme announced a month before (usually fanart contest give that or less time for entries) and maybe (would be a nice detail) the art team select the winners to make posters of them, maybe a bigger one for first place or scratch the "place" tiers and just select 2 if 3 is too much for each region (or whatever numbers can be on budget for events like this), and please make all items avalable for all regions if possible

Even, 2 per region, one can be chosen by comunity votes and the other from staff, and adding a nice flavor text to the item, be the art team comment or artist him/herself would be great

More or less on logistics, numbers and such but that is my idea to give the artist comunity some appreciation. (with the level people nowdays have on illustration skills the contest will not be easy to win)

I'd be all over that. I'd KILL for the winners from the last fanfest art contest.

First one is by Nibu Chuni and the second is by Chimaera Inferna. Both are god-tier pieces of work that anyone would be proud to have in their in-game home.
