So, is there no way to upgrade your subscription from Entry to Standard?

I realized my subscription is an Entry subscription, which won't let me create a second character on the same server. I would prefer to have my alt on the same server, but I am seeing there is no way to just upgrade.

So, do I have to cancel and resub at the standard level? This seems very...strange? Unless, I am missing where to do it?

You can change it whenever you add game time using one of the 60 day subscription cards. Only standard subs can add anything more than 30 days. I can't recall if you had to pay extra for whatever entry days you had left or what, but it's an option without needing to cancel your current subscription.

Last time I did it, it was due to game card.
However, go to MANAGE SERVICE OPTIONS, and click CREDIT CARD/CRYSTA PAYMENT.
It looks like you need to go in to update the entire process from step one. However, they will charge pro-rated for any remaining days, then full charge on renewal day.

You also might have some problems this week due to Mog Station maintenance, as an FYI.

It is just cancel the recurrent sub, ley your sub end and resub with standard, apying ~3 more $.

Just cancel your current sub and activate a new sub that is standard.

WARNING! The standard sub will not kick in till the auto renewal does. So, you will still have to wait out till the rest of the current sub ends.

I wanted to make a second character aswell. Went on the mogstation, payed for a standard sub, they charged me a few dollars right away, not the full amount because I had like 20 days left on my entry sub. Was able to make a 2nd character right away without waiting for my original sub to end

It should kick in right away, you're charged a prorated cost for the remaining of your sub (ranges from 6 cents to 2 USD depending on days left on your sub)
