　I have an issue I want an answer too. I:m trying to keep my ui/cilent in japanese but want to have the story ingame text to be english. Is there a way to do this? D:

Im... Confused. Why would you want this? Isn't the client/ui the exact same just with Japanese text? Why would you want to play in a language you don't understand just because aesthetically you think it looks better when in reality, the only diffrence is text..?

Because I always liked how it looked in the japanese cilent. And now that I found out I can switch to it on my PS4 why not. It:s not like I:m still doing MSQ and I:m not leveling anymore classes. So why not. It:s a fresh coat of paint that:s renewing and fresh. - I just finished the msq on my alt so I guess that:s a status update.-

Ive been and lived in Japan for a small amount of time and had a semi hard time getting around without knowing the native language that well, so the concept of playing in a client where you don't understand what is on screen and have to look at your phone to figure out whats what, or go by memory just seems odd when you can have the client in a language you do understand..... and they both look the same, just with text differences.

This needs some background I guess.... I'm an artist and I love how kanji looks. I used to look up names and words and stuff so I can use the correct ones. I don't believe in just copying stuff without knowing the meaning. But I was watching some streams on my PS4 one night and wondered how I could change the text. At first I had no need to do it. I was just curious. I guess not finding an answer it was like an itch I couldn't reach and when I finally found a way to do it. I exploded lol. So I played with the cilent in japanese for a few hours and wondered if I could still do that but change the story text to english. Kindof like we have a japanese voice option - which I been using for years cause fuck the word mayhap or the play like speak they use... HATE IT.- And wondered if an option like that existed for the text.

It doesn't... and I got that out my system so it's back to normal. I don't want to play not being able to read the text. But I do like how Kanji looks so I guess that just makes me odd/stupid. I dunno.

But I never found an option to just change the UI translation.
I never actually bothered to change language anyways.
Is there something different if you change the UI text?

I wondered if I said it in a way to misunderstand. The stuff I'm talking about it what you did. Japanese text with voices. What I wanted to know was was there a way to keep my client in japanese but make the quest in english text. But that's not an option.

Did you finish the story and went through all the important dialogue in the game so far?
If you did maybe you can change the whole game into Japanese and go back to English if they add more story quests or events.
And you are always welcome if you need help from me with translation.
