[SPOILERS] The Warrior of Darkness and Summoning

So I am a little confused about the Eden story; I just finished it today. The Warrior of Light and Darkness summons her own primals to fight? This is kind of getting a little meta but I am not for sure I am interpreting what is happening correctly so I had a few questions:

    1) Is she really summoning the primals herself with just her will, using creation magic like the Ascians or what? Or is she just channeling her memories into Eden and Eden manipulates the aether to do the summoning?

    2) How did Louisuoix summon the twelve or attempt to. I didn't play 1.0 so no idea; Urianger says we are going to summon the primals like he did. Didn't he have a staff for summoning the Twelve?

    3) If the Warrior of Light and Darkness is summoning her own primals through her will alone, when was she able to start doing this or had this much ability? Was it because she merged with Ardbert and now her soul is a bit more whole than it was before and thus is able to perform further abilities that she couldn't before?

    4) What about the strange crystals or aether filling the Empty? If the Warrior of Light and Darkness is creating the primals to use their aether to bring life back to the Empty, is the little amount of normalcy that is being restored a direct consequence of returning the elementally aspected ether back to the land? Is it safe to assume that she is single-handedly restoring life to the Empty through the primals she summons and then right after defeats?

Sorry for the questions, just wondering what you all thing/looking for a bit of clarity. The Warrior of Light and Dark is strong but I don't think they are that strong yet. Or are they? O.o

Much of what happens in the Eden rate has, thus far, been facilitated by it. The primals summoned are our imperfect memory of them, using Eden's power to reverse the polarity of trace amounts of elemental aether (relatively speaking) in the Empty to summon the primals which, upon defeat, are intended to have a domino effect across the region.

    1. Basically the latter.

    2. Louisoix was going to partially summon the Twelve by using the prayers of the Eorzean people and Tupsimati for channeling immense amounts of aether. I guess Eden is just a stand-in for Tupsimati in this case.

    3. The Warrior of Light / Darkness is using Eden as a medium to give form to the aether sleeping in the Empty. They aren't doing it alone.

    4. What we see in the Empty is indeed a consequence of summoning and defeating the primals, but we do have assistance from Thancred, Urianger, and especially Ryne; I also suspect that Gaia (the "Oracle of Darkness") will throw a big wrench into things, because if not we only have enough for the next tier of raids.

    1) It is done using Eden as an intermediary.

    2) Louisuoix possessed a staff that had a relic part of it capable of drawing vast amounts of aether from the surrounding environment. He also purposely did an incomplete summon: he only Summoned the power of the Twelve without any personality or will as manifesting them as proper primals would cause them to drain a immensely larger amount of aether. It did not work so he wound up having to do what we saw (technically again) later with shiva: he summoned the power of the Primal Phoenix into himself to engage Bahamut in personal combat to knock him out.

    3) Like with the Ancients we are basically formulating the primals from components in our memories to serve as a concept while using Eden as the intermediary to manufacture them from the elemental aether being made active via Eden's ability. All primal summoning has basically been revealed to be creation magic, the issue is the amount of aether available for said summoning which Eden has 90% of the planet to tap into.

    4) When we defeat a primal its aether is redistributed into the environment. That crystal we keep seeing is basically responding to the large amount of aether that is being reactivated. Currently the aether is basically stuck in a pool without much room to move, as more elements become active again it will begin to expand from there until its basically a cascade restoring the other 90% of the planet.
