Monk, two things that make me want to cry is the boss being turned for no reason and having to form shift constantly while running through a dungeon.

While I was able to get the hang of Ninja at some point and almost started to enjoy it, I can't bring myself to like Monk at all. Maybe it is a melee thing (but then again SAM & DRG are pretty cool) or a positioning thing (and let's be honest - MNK is the worst/most challenging in that case). But I never know where to stand, got tired of jumping around and the medicore story for Monk didn't help to feel some love for this class. I'll still level them like all my jobs but probably at the very very last.
"Pray return to the workshop room."
Black Mage. I tried my best to bring him to 70, but I really can't stand the long casting spells...

SMN. I couldn't tell why, there is just not one single redeeming aspect, I hate everything about the job.
Since ACN was the only class not already at 50 when ARR was released, I used it for the main story. After that I've only used it to finish some of the job quests, but I have since given up on those too. If I never have to touch it again it'll be too soon. Massive disappointment of a much anticipated class/job.
Bard and Red Mage. The jobs are just way too dull and boring. They're nowhere near busy enough to hold my interest. That said, I'm not bad at them, but if I had the choice I would most definitely choose MCH/DNC over BRD and SMN over RDM.
Black Mage is probably another one. I actually used to main the job through HW, raided Deltascape on it and did reclears on Sigmascape on it. But I just fell out of love with the job once I switched to healer main.

Before ShB I used to love playing DRK despite all the backlash surrounding it...and now that I've taken it to 80 I can say that it didn't feel as fun to play. Felt like a watered down WAR with weird change decisions like Quietus not giving MP anymore or Abyssal Drain being a 60 seconds OGCD. There are some neat ideas like TBN and Dark Arts, and I love using Living Shadow but compared to GNB and how DRK was in SB, it's meh. Gonna stay GNB this expansion.
Then there's ARC. It's only at lvl 15 so I can't say much, and maybe it gets better, but for now it just feels weird to play it. I love being or using archers in other games (Dragon's Dogma has amazing archer classes for example) but in FF 14 I dunno I somehow feel "disconnected" when playing it if that makes sense.
Finally MNK. I have it at 50 and I like the aesthetic, lore and gameplay of it but I always feel weaker than literally anything else with it for some strange reason. I plan on taking it to 80 but at the same time I don't really feel like it...

Melee jobs in general and SMN, no idea how to play it.

Monk hands down. I hate all the positionals.

Ninja, its just so clunky to play
