She has been seen in Braverly Second: End Layer & FF: Explorers afaik, so it's very possible to have her here.I don’t play other FF games so I don’t know but has Amaterasu been used in FF before?
I see a lot of Hindu figures used, which when FF started was probably something they didn’t think would ever come up as they might not have expected the game to go global and sensitivity over these things wasn’t then what it is now (plus it’s D&D inspired and D&D used Hindu figures at will and very poorly all over the place, original FF authors might not have even known the source went beyond a D&D book).
But Amaterasu is sacred to Shinto. So I am surprised that’s been used in FF as that’s SE’s own cultural traditions. That just seems like a scalding hot potato to touch.
