Are those two moves really 'one shot killers'? I've done Aurum Vale twice so far, both times as a healer, and the only time we had issues was with that eye beam one-shotting people. I do agree that adding one-shot killers on many things are a cheap, uninteresting way to add "difficulty", but I don't recall our tank having issues with anything.

I was flying blind in Aurum Vale because the group I with was practically silent, so I'm more intrigued than anything. My delve into Aurum Vale was spur of the moment, and I haven't read anything about it, so I know very little about how the encounters work. I saw the tank trying to run from those moves, but I don't think they evaded all of them. They never died though. Were you the tank getting hit, or a melee?
there is 10-tonze swing and swipe you tank thru that
you need to run forward for 100-tonze swipe and away for swing
the goal is to get him to miss everyone then he falls on his ass and then you stun him while he is down and dps him.

im not saying it should be more boring. example: byoko in sky when the cap was 75 was a bish to keep everyone un paralyzed which made the fight hard or at least it was back in the day or the bird i forget his name with chainspell firega III its more about skills and debuffs then about avoiding one-shot moves

    tactics over action
