    Then that, sir, is a sign of higher latency on your end and is likely due to your connection. Lag spikes, high ping, etc. These are all contributing factors and are unique to every player at any given time. Unfortunately, this is something SE has no control over.

    Sure, the lag spikes and higher ping on your end on top of the already noticeable server lag is horrible, but even when they bust out 2.0 and server lag isn't noticeable, you'll still be lagging more than everybody else.


    ... or your internet is fine and you just don't know where to run

    PS: It's not some blanket statement. It's logic. You determine what the problem is, why it is a problem, and how this problem works. In the case of FFXIV, the chatlog communicates significantly faster than any and all animations- this is why you'll see your attacks in the logs, your target's HP go down and even die before your WS animation comes out. Move based on the log, and you're golden. If following that guidelines has led to consistent dodging for me and everyone I've had the pleasure to play with, then yes- it works for everyone who's sole problem is the generic server lag.
