    Severe lags only limited to Final Fantasy 14

    Like the Title says im having strange connection issues in the game where all other characters stop moving while im still able to cast and move with the only restriction that my resources dont deplete for me and my cooldowns are not displayed correctly, the second part of the issue is that when i die in this state i usually only know it 30 seconds if not even later since the fight is frozen for me, but since im still alive on my client i am still able to move around and other people in the instance see my dead body moving around.

    Are you playing on PC or are you playing on PS4? In addition to this, are you connected directly to the router? Do you experience lag anywhere in game? Do you just experience it in dungeons with other players?

    im playing on PC im usually connected trough a switch but i also tried connecting directly, i usually only notice it in dungeons but it did also happen when a friend of mine was training her rotation at a training's dummy in a housing district she just stood there for a while then everything happened at once for me while my movement was still correctly displayed to her, so the lags happen anywhere but i mostly notice them in instanced areas and once they start they wont leave no matter where i go in the game, and unless the windows resource monitor is not correctly displaying Ping and Packet los for Final Fantasy 14 im having neither packet loss nor a high ping.

    Additionaly my specs are Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
    Memory: 32768MB RAM
    Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X

    What you tried so far to alleviate the issue? Is the Final Fantasy IV game application allowed through the fire wall?

    Good afternoon

    so far i did not try anything since i cant pinpoint the cause for the issue since i did not change anything in my setup in the past 2 and a half years im playing ff14 for its the same PC the same router and the same isp and its hard to try something if you have not starting point, and yes its allowed trough the firewall and since i have UPnP activated it also shouldnt be problems with the ports, since the lags come at random times at non specific places for an non specific time im at a total loss what the issue could be since my internet is also good enough to not even consider the game as something to bother the capacity, the only things i can think of at this point are the fact that im suffering from the high gpu usage issue but since i have this since stormblood i doubt that it would now randomly start making issues since my gpu is neither overheating nor showing any other issues the other thing is i heard that these kind of lags mostly if not only happen to people from germany in this case it would be an issue between square enix and my isp i guess but information in that regard would still be welcome

    Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

    Please try disabling any background programs and please make sure the Internet Explorer settings:


    -Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    If you have not done so already, please also try port forwarding the following ports:

    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    most of the options where already right
    "-Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED." was the only change i was capable of making but i feel like the problems should be more consistent and less random if this was the problem but we will see.

    The other thing i now did was to set the compatibility to "Windows 7".

    the ports are already forwarded.

    since the problem is extremly random so its gonna take a while before i know if it had any effect.
