    DirectX Error 11000002

    Hey all,

Began playing again just before Shadowbringers released. In all the time I've played, I never once had the DirectX error crash. I was playing on Dx9 after SHB released while finishing Stormblood's story, and again, no problem. However, once I began SHB, the new zones would not load and would just get stuck in a loading screen loop with music on a black screen. So, figured that as support for Dx9 was gone, I would switch to Dx11. Since then, crashes. There's no real 'moment' it will happen. Could be standing around in my house, could be in a dungeon or trial or raid. Like being on a knife's edge.

Now some days it's not to bad. It may be an hour before the first crash happens, I reboot, no more crashes for the next 4-5 hours when I go to bed. Other days, it can happen time and again with less than or just a little more than 30 minutes. I have tried fullscreen and windowed borderless, and switching between the two. No dice there. I have tried clean re-installs of drivers and the game, no good. I have searched and searched for a solution, but many people seem to have the same problem but it just occurs under different circumstances. Some can't even launch the game before it happens, and yet I can.

Basic info: Windows 10 (version 1903)
    Geforce GTX 1070
    AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-core 3.2 GHz (no overclock)

No other game I've played has a DirectX crash and this only started once launching the game in Dx11. Is this problem originating on my end/Square/NVIDIA? Can something be done from any of the those 3 parties? Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

It's a known problem for players, but on these forums they will just give you the same list of generic suggestions they give everyone else and then close the thread. They told me that if none of their suggestions worked it must be hardware related. It's not. I am in the same situation, where it has always worked fine and since Shadowbringers, I've had countless random DirectX crashes with no direct correlation to anything. Various "fixes" seem to work for awhile and then it happens again. They just don't seem to want to acknowledge the sheer number of these threads that have been opened and accept that there is some issue on their end causing it.

Have any updates or changes been made to the PC that coincide with the crash? How long have you been experiencing this issue?
