    Jump distance / timing analysis

After struggling with the Kugane tower puzzle for hours, I decided to see what the jump lengths actually are, and what the required timing is.
I used the macro function in my Koolertron keypad to set up specific timings between W and Space, and started from a railing in Kugane where I could back up against the invisible wall for the same start position every time.
I took screen shots with timings of 10 ms to 100 ms (everything above 100 is the same).
The green and red distances came out the same.

One conclusion: There are not just Short, and Long jumps. There are Eight distances overall, which is why I keep missing landings.

I suppose I could create multiple timed jump macros for the keypad, to have specific distances on demand, same every time for each key I use

When you jump, it basically just locks in whatever your current momentum is; save for when a speed buff wears off, in which case your speed can change mid-jump.

I imagine it's a lot easier to do variable jump distance on controller.

Admitting you're using hardware macros on the OF probably is not the smartest idea you could have.

You should also check those same things with 30fps limiter on.

I know this still remains the only way you can do at least one of the sightseeing log vistas and should have some impact on jumping distance and trajectory.
