    Constant disconnects from game

    I have been disconnecting randomly and rather frequently (at least 7-8 times now) since the end of yesterday's maintenance. The error message is "the connection with the server is lost", after which if I try to start game while still within client, I will get error connecting with game lobby.

    Then if I try to restart game launcher, it will be black, after a few minutes "A system error has occurred: -"random numbers" HTTPS System Error. The weird thing is, my internet is working for everything else, but I cannot load the lodestone websites.

    Once the loadstone website can be connected, the connection with everything else becomes normal, and launcher works, and I can log into game.

    This error you are describing is usually a problem with the browser. Please use the following to resolve the issue:

    Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

    Hi sorry, I am only posting that the website also cannot be accessed when I disconnect from the game, hence my main issue is still that I cannot connect to the game server and disconnects from it randomly.

    I am still experiencing this issue albeit infrequently but sometimes at crucial times such as in the middle of an instance and it really spoils my experience gaming. Please help?

    Yeah getting the same problem as you. Already wasted 80usd for the full game and doubt I am going to renew the subscription once it runs out.
    The "support" or the lack of it didn't even bother do reply to my enquiry. Guess the devs are only in it for the money and didn't even bother maintain a decent game.

    RenoKreuz, are you connected directly to the router or are you using wifi? Have any changes been made to the network or router. Please try the following trouble shooting:

    -Disable background applications/Clean boot
    -Make exceptions for anti-virus/firewall
    -Connect directly to the router


    biu0445, I apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred. Could you provide the following:

    -Wired or WIFI connection
    -Other programs being used when running FFXIV
    -When disconnect occurs/How often
    -Everything you have tried to resolve the issue

    These problems started to happen after they moved there servers to new provider. Never had in disconnects when they where in Canada. I have done every thing they say and still get them daily. I don't use a router and satellite can't change settings in it. It's direct wired from wall outlet. Don't have any other programs running and don't have any anti-virus installed and ffxiv is allowed to run through the firewall. Every time run trace route its last ping that gives me all the problems with is where Malboro server is. its ether 120 to 180 or requests a timeout when one before it 30. I'm pretty sure server randomly picks people to disconnect to allow others to login. Maybe to lighten the load they need to add more servers and cut how many accounts cab be on each one.

    Nailed it > WoW was doing this years ago I forgot which XPac. Took them forever to admit it. I thought the same thing after it starting happening so much after ShB X Pac. I mean you try to log in and there is ALWAYS a Que of 10-40. What else can they do but boot people off and hope they are afk for real.
