I think the idea of a LS bank is a fantastic one. I'm not so sure how it would be controlled as such- maybe with the person depositing the goods restricting what level DoH/DoM/DoW can take out certain items? I already keep a ton of stuff on my retainers for other LS members that I know can use the items to skill up on, along with repair materials. It would be nice to reclaim the space back and have a central repository to put them instead.

Guild/LS banks don't lead to drama ever. The poor leadership however does. When you get people (like a certain leader of an "NM Shell" on my server) stealing money from the LS bank is when the drama comes into play. If the system is worked out properly an official LS bank is much more appealing because it could mean less of this. By making it so that everyone in the LS could see what resided in the LS bank but not manage it (except for core officers and leaders) then this makes for a much larger accountability factor. With the entire LS being able to track where the bank is at and if a certain amount of gil or items just vanishes then you know who to blame. This would be especially useful if it listed recent "transactions" of deposit and withdraw in the amount/item associated with a name.

I think what you guys are talking about however would be a delivery box....those work great for sending/receiving.

I hope they do add a LS bank feature as our LS is using a few alts to store items, which can get a bit annoying. If they didint introduce it would be very helpful to introduce a mailing system so that you could mail items to/from the bank character.

This would be especially useful if it listed recent "transactions" of deposit and withdraw in the amount/item associated with a name.

This would be a nice function even if just to give clarity of how the bank is being used.

the utility guild banks afford would be nice, especially with how much crafting stuff i just flat out throw away (sorry culinarians)

No it wont i know a few linkshell in FFXIV which does have a bank they made it themself. A website for it and the leader just have other account and all the item are in that account. Each day at some hour they put you can go to the ward and talk to one of the sackholder/leader that are there and ask what item you can take out.

As long as they add some good rules to the ls bank that SE make and make it really good we should not have a problem with players running away with item and stuff.

i'd be all for an an ls bank. not only for storing ls items, but it would be great for everyone to be able to see what mats the ls has and how much gil at any given time. right now you basically have to take your leader's word for it, they could easily incorporate a feature where everyone could see who added/withdrew w/e item/gil at any given time.
