Same problem here, EU Light data centre.
Tried pathping in CMD and PingPlotter, both of them get massive spikes once it reaches the data centre.

Same here I see other players just stopping then about a second later they all start running again. I don't think it's a coincidence that they all stop at the same time
Will tech support reply to us here or do I need to start a new thread?
Getting massive lag spikes again today, it always starts around 4:30-5:00pm GMT. I guess there are so many people logging on after work and the data centre just can't handle it.
Data centre hops going up to 1000ms lol.

If 17 is data center, the fault lies between hops 15 and 16, so there is basicly nothing se do about that since that is before the packets even reach data center.
Oh, 15 and 16 are both in dusseldorf, germany where ghe data center is located. Could be on site or at the isp.

Doesnt have to be the data center. It could be that the path between the data center and the next hop is overloaded. Need more data to verify.
On shiva myself and while i occasionally get lagspikes its not consistent. Usually a restart of ff or pc improves situation even.
Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
We apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. The lag being experienced is most likely caused by routing issue between the device and the server. Please try the following trouble shooting:
-Disable background applications/Clean boot
-Make exceptions for anti-virus/firewall
-Update Internet Explorer:
Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
- Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
In addition to the steps above, we also recommend talking to your internet service provider.

Have had my ISP out here 5 times in 3 weeks, they can’t find an issue with my connection. Also, I’m on a wired ps4 so above suggestions don’t help.Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Thank you for the reply. The issue may not stem from your immediate location. It's likely you are running into an issue along your way to the server. This wouldn't affect your connection to other website/services but it might for Final Fantasy XIV.
