Game Pauses....lagging like issues

I recently moved, before I moved my computer and my son's computer worked fine....no issues with FF14.
However, after the move, I have major 'pausing" issues, where the game just pauses for brief moments here and there. It reminds me of latency where you are dropping packets or have major high ping.
Both my son and I are connected to the same router and he is having no issues only me. The game says I'm connected as "Excellent" I've ran multiple computer tests and network (ping, packet) tests and everything is coming up fine. I've updated video card drivers.

I don't know what else to even do. Like I said, everything worked fine before the move. I'm using the exact same equipment as before, except I'm connected to a different ISP.

Just looking for other ideas as I'm stumped.

Is it like everyone just stops moving for a second or like the FPS actually drops to 0 for a second? The former would be caused by latency issues, whereas the latter would likely be caused by hardware problems.

I would say everyone just stops moving for second, which I would agree seems like a latency issue. I just don't understand why I'm having these issues, when I didn't previously and my son isn't having these issues even though we are on the same ISP and router.

Been happening to me now for last 3 days. You just freeze then fast forwards everyone. I think might be from surge of wanders from world visit that's causing it. Know it takes me now 5 to 10 minutes to login the my character for long queue waits.

Eeshen, are you connected to the router directly or are you using wifi? Where in game do you experience lag? Do you experience it in one specific area or is the issue random?

I have the same problem as Eeshen, I recently moved to a new location and used different wifi but still use the same computer. It pauses and moved again and again. I am convinced that the problem is not on my end as I run heavier online games just fine and updated drivers, ran anti-virus and even re-download the entire game all over again. I am connected to wifi. I experience lag everywhere be it at town where players move around then stops then after a couple of second they are already far away and it just worse on dungeons I keep dying, being a healer like this means death to our party/raid. I've been experiencing this for two weeks now but there are some nights its okay but most nights its lagging.

I have not moved to a new location, but have been experiencing the same issue. It's normally in dungeons. I am on fiber net and I get straight 60 fps any other time, connected straight to my router and no hardware issues. You aren't alone.

I haven’t moved or changed anything, just began happening 2 weeks ago! I’m on a wired connection (ps4), have had my ISP out here 4 times and can confirm lag is happening when network connection is ok

Lag/disconnects are completely random but do seem worse in instances (trials, dungeons, etc). Had to leave my static since my issues are causing wipes.

Having the same issue this week
Have not moved to a new location
Appears to be worse in instances/trials
Connected directly to router through ethernet
Internet appears to be working fine, just lagging/dropping connection on ffxiv

Same problem here, EU Light data centre.
Tried pathping in CMD and PingPlotter, both of them get massive spikes once it reaches the data centre.
