For Fisher, what Collectibles are easiest to get in Shadowbringer?

Looking to earn some Scrips, but more importantly EXP to level FSH up to 80 though it's kinda easy to do but I like to get back some of the Gathering Scrip I spent on bait.

That said I'm currently level 77 with the Landking Gear (LV70) with my stats set at Gathering 1207 and Perceptive 983 so I was wondering if this was good enough to catch at least most of the Shadowbringer Fishes and the Collectibles of them.

Unless my stats are too low even with some food to increase my stats for a bit.

Any suggestions to make catching Collectible Fishes in Shadowbringer easier?

Try Winged Hatchetfish in Kholuisa (Upper Watts River, Robber Ball.) You won't be able to turn them in until 78, but they're common and easy to catch, and that hole also has a leve fish as a bonus.

Alright. I hit level 80, but this might be a great place for Scrip farming. Thank you!

If you ever see Aapoak on your turnin list, at least give it a try, since it gives 1660 white scrips regular and 1990 white scrips if starred. It's a crazy amount for one turnin, and unlike the Stormblood analog, Sculptor, it is not nearly as hard to catch as its reward might suggest. Not easy, but not so hard that you should just not even bother if it happens to be the right time and weather. I've insta-capped my white scrips a couple times with it, and it doesn't even use scrip bait to catch! Just short bill minnow>ancient shrimp, 12-4pm, Clear skies, Fish Eyes, Folklore tome required.

Maybe I'm just unlucky here, but I've sat through a lot of Aapoak windows to date and never even had it bite.

Yeah took me 3 days to even catch it once for my fishing log... I had much more luck with Thorned Lizard for White Scrips. It is much easier to catch but still gives a lot.

My goto fish for Yellow Scrips is the Diamond Pipira.

Spearfishing in Il Mheg - Central Long Mirror Lake ( http://ff14angler.com/spot/120653 ) - Blue Mountain Bubble for White Scrips and Elder Pixie for Yellow. Enable Truth Of Oceans, use Normal Spearhead for both, use Veteran Trade to eliminate Mock Pixie or Fuathgobbler then use Identical Gig after Sauldia Ruby to spawn Swimming Shadows faster.

I'm hoping later patches add a wave of new collectable fish because the current ones suffer from having low catch rates, low payouts, and/or restrictive weather requirements.

Most of the SB fish like swordfish, wraithfish, and hak bitterlings were common enough to be worth the effort whenever they were available.

Squenix barely puts up with fishing in this expansion.

I've tried all of the white scrip fish at this point and overall the spiked lizards and henodus seem like the most practical options in terms of how much reward you get for the amount of time spent.

Platinum guppies give hardly any scrips and have what feels like only a 10% hook rate or so which means you'll almost surely come out with a scrip deficit.

The aapoak is really just for gamblers because the catch rate is miserable just as it was with its HW/SB equivalents.

Darkdwellers are decent as you can ensure you catch them by using Surface Slap on the other small fish at their whole, but they take a really long time to bite which makes the Fish Eyes requirement all the more annoying.
