So, now that people are winding down from Shadowbringer's Launch (Outside of Eden about to release), now I think it's time we discuss older-content post-launch again.
And the main one to talk about is Eureka.
In my opinion, Square should rework/change Eureka to be a solo-friendly experience, especially since Shadowbringers is out now.
There are 4 Reasons why I think this should be, and why reworking Eureka will have to be more intensive than the previous relic quests
  1. Eureka is a complete Zone, with a story that ties into, and is directly mentioned in the MSQ (4.5's Specifically), and content like that should be reliably completeable
  2. ]All the previous relics have been able to be somewhat solo-able, whether it be via unsyncing or soloing FATEs, and even if you had to group with a party, it was reliable via the Duty Finder and those activities on average having at least 1 party on queue in the DF via Roulettes
  3. Eureka's Progression is completely tied around Multiplayer, spawning NMs, doing NMs to get Crystals, Light, Logos Actions, and items from NMs Like Paz, Louhi, Penny.etc
  4. Point 3 makes it so progressing through Eureka, is impossible, as yes, you can get crystals via mob-chains in Anemos, you cannot get Crystals outside of NMs in Pagos onward, and Light is only required for the Pagos Weapon’s completion, and in Pyros/Hydatos it’s only for stat allocation, which at this point is worthless due to the gear being outdated, so the base-stats will lead to most weapons from SHDB winning, likely even during the leveling process.
Now, with those points stated, how do we solve this, well, I will organize this into multiple sections based on zone
General
  • Greatly Increase E-XP gained from NMs, Defeating Enemies, and Kill-Chains
  • Make NMs spawn naturally and on a timer, akin to most FATEs
  • Reduce the time for NMs to spawn greatly (Somewhere around 1 Pazuzu/Louhi.etc an hour)
  • Make NM Difficulty Scale to the players joined with 1 Player being the baseline
    Adjust attack potency/mechanics accordingly
  • (Potentially): Allow for land-mounting at the start
  • (Potentially): Unlock flight capabilities after finishing the story of a zone
  • (Potentially): Allow for the trading of Crystals of one zone to another. The amount gained will be in relation to their of the zone, for example, 6 Pagos Crystals will translate to 4 Pyros Crystals
Anemos
  • Increase crystals gained from mob-chains greatly (proportionally to other changes if need be)
  • Increase Level Cap to 25, or reduce the enemy level cap to 20
  • Reduce Cost to create weapons/armor
  • (Potentially) to be more in line with the crystal requirements of Pagos, Pyros, and Hydatos, (Reduce crystals earned from NMs/chains to compensate)
  • (Potentially) Add the Logos System, with NMs and enemy chains dropping Logograms
Pagos
  • Increase Level Cap to 40 or reduce enemy levels to a cap of 35
  • Add Kill-chain Crystal Drops
  • Increase Crystal gains from NMs (Maybe add Crystal drops from the Bunny FATE)
  • Increase chances for Light to drop after killing enemies
  • Guarantee Light after every Chain interval
  • Reduce the Amount of Light required to make a Frosted Protean Crystal
  • (Potentially) Add the ability to trade Pagos Crystals of a sufficient amount for Frosted Protean Crystals
  • (Potentially) Add the Logos system, same rules/sources as the Anemos suggestion + Bunny FATE chests
Pyros
  • Add Kill-Chain Crystal Drops
  • Increase Level cap to 55, or Reduce enemy levels to a cap of 50
  • Increase Crystal gains from NMs (Maybe add Crystal drops from Bunny FATE)
  • Increase Light Chance/Quality overall
  • Increase Drop Chance for Logograms from NMs, Bunny Chests, and Kill-Chains
  • (Potentially) Add the ability to exchange smoldering Protean crystals for Pyros and Hydatos Crystals and vice versa
Hydatos
  • Add Kill-Chain Crystal Drops
  • Reduce Enemy Levels to a cap of 60
  • Increase Crystal gains from NMs (Maybe Add Crystal Drops from Bunny FATE)
  • Increase Light Chance/Quality overall
  • Increase Drop Chance for Logograms from NMs,Buny Chests, and Kill-Chains
