Moving from PC launcher to Steam version and have a question about uninstalling

I'm running a PC (non Steam) version of FF now using the Steam launcher. There is the option to run other non Steam games as well. So you're saying this update will affect that ability or will that apply just to Final Fantasy XIV?

Apologies I misread that.

As of right now Valve has not stated any change in the ability to add .exe's to run as 'non steam game'. So, you will still be able to run the non Steam version trough Steam.
