No it isn't, unusual isn't the word to describe something that is happening nearly every day now. Along with many other people I know I get booted from Selbina on an almost daily basis only to recieve the unusually busy message when I try to log back in. One member of my linkshell is unable to play at all during the peak jp time, his game becomes laggy and he keeps R0ing. People are paying for this service, it should be available to them.

I'm sorry Jinko you are absolutely right. I should accept poor service without complaint, I'm sure putting up with it quietly is exactly the way customers should react.

I'm in the same world and i understand this but sadly they said 2.0 would bring the new servers so doing this wont speed that up at all

They built the current servers and presumably tested them, they should have known their capacity. That this is a recent problem coming at a time when overall server capacity is set to be reduced beggars belief. I've always preferred my customers to tell me when something is wrong, it helps me to improve and to get more of them.

If its occuring on Selbina right now, its likely to be the same on the new servers after merging. So, might as well take it seriously ^^'

When it's just the result of a technical problem, yes you should. You should politely and paitently wait for it to be resulved, because you know the people running the game are humans and are only capable of so much.

I am really, really *bleeping* sick of this sense of entitlement people have in the game these days. People need to be smart enough to know that the game isnt and will never be 100% free of technical problems, some of which may temporarily prevent you from playing. Now if the entire game was down for everyone for an extended period of time (e.g. days) then i'd understand a demand for service or at least some compensation. However, that's not the case right now.

Even if the reason for the error message really was heavy traffic (It's probably because the area you were in is down on the server), I'd still be saying "Too bad, suck it up." Why? There are technical limits to how many connections the system can process at a time. No amount of money you throw at them will change that.

People need to learn to disperse a little more. I'm camping out in Limsa right now, in part because I have to go there to use the inn with it being disabled (understandably) in ul'dah. Don't spend more time there than you have to.
