DNC optimal DPS rotation question

To clarify, do this with the AoE flourish procs when fighting a single target, since the dps loss is only 50 potency and the potential gain is much higher if one or more procs land. But don't do this with the single target flourish procs when fighting multiple mobs since the dps loss is much larger than any potential gain from fan dance procs even if all the procs land.

I.e. when fighting single target, use only single target rotation skills, but all four flourish procs. When fighting 2+ mobs use only AoE rotation skills and only the 2 AoE flourish procs.

But is it more fun to tempt RNG like that? Because from personal experience, I find it fun, but then again I am a bit weird like that...
