    Crafting rotations

    Hi all!

So I have committed myself to crafting and leveling all my classes. So far everything is equal or higher than something else. That being said I am a self sufficient crafter. My question for all you experienced crafter is, what rotations do you use? I'm trying to continue making high quality crafts which is easy when ingredients are HQ however when rolling with NQ, what rotations do you use and how do best manage you CP and Durability to make HQ.

Curently I have been using this:
    Inner quiet
    Steady hand 1
    Manipulation
    Hasty touch
    Hasty touch
    Hasty touch
    Manipulation
    Hasty touch
    Great strides
Basic or standard touch(depending on cp)
Careful synth 2 (until full progress)

Also, considering the success rate for HT, should I continue with it or stick with BT for my low level (30) classes. I use it to conserve CP but unless I'm using manipulation then it's a waste of durability when it fails to many times.

    Thanks for your help!

Honestly, generally I ignore going for full HQ all together (I find you end up getting gear upgrades very very frequently anyway; most of which you'll get via doing the crafting log) and just aim for something that is quick, lazy, and still very powerful for exp gain, like below
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <wait.2>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /echo Craft finished <se.2>

EDIT: That being said don't forget that you have CP replenishing skills such as Tricks of the Trade and Rumination which will allow you to use further abilities, and generally the key for managing the durability and making sure you don't blow up the craft is to always focus on doing progress first, to where you are 1 synthesis action from completing the craft.

    Refer to the following:
Inner Quiet > Careful Synthesis spam to within 1 step of completing the craft >Waste Not > Steady Hand > x3 Hasty Touch > Great Strides > Standard Touch > Rumination to restore CP >

If CP >= 110 > Manipulation > Steady Hand > Hasty Touch spam to within 1 step of depleting durability > Careful Synthesis
If CP >=78 but less than 110 > Waste Not > Steady Hand > Same as above

That is if you wanted to commit to doing a proper rotation, that is what I can recall from memory anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I will certainly try this when I'm on today.

    I checked your profile.
So I see that, apart from WVR 50, you have GSM 50 too. So you do have Innovation.

I'd recommend using Waste Not instead of Manipulation when dealing with 70 or 80 durability items, since Waste Not is more CP efficient. However, keep in mind NOT to take 2 Trick of Trades within the 4 steps of Waste Not, as that will result in loss of durab. Also, if you're already having a 5 durab overhang, don't take any Trick of Trades during Waste Not, as that will also result in loss of durab.

Even for 40 durab items, Waste Not is still a viable skill. But Manipulation does have its advantages regarding better flexibility in utilization of Good/Excellent conditions. So you can use Manip for 40 durab items. There was a time when I enjoyed using 1 Waste Not and 1 Manip in a single rotation for crafting 40 durab items.

At low levels, Hasty Touch is a better choice than Basic Touch in most cases, as the CP saved allows you to either use more Waste Not or Manipulation.

About 5 years ago, I drafted a low-CP rotation for low level crafting classes. I am attaching below. You may take a quick look.

I have assumed some Trick of Trades which I used to replenish CP. I have also used Master's Mend once in the rotation as well. And lastly, I used Rumination.

Alternatively, instead of sacrificing the IQ stack for CP using Rumination in the end, you can set up a Great Strides, Innovation, Basic/Standard Touch as a final push of quality before using Careful Syn II to finish at the end.

19-51 I use a very basic rotation and HQ mat combo.
40 Dura and 70, 80 but you can tweak on some 40 Dura

Careful Synth (in your case Careful Synth II)

    Inner Quiet,
    Steady Hand,
    Waste Not
    Standard touch x4
    Careful Synth II

If you know you can complete a 40 with a single CS II

    Inner Quiet,
    Great Strides,
    Steady Hand,
    Waster Not,
    Standard Touch x 4
    Careful Synth II

For 70's and 80's I do the exact same thing because Careful Synth doesn't use CP and adding more to the end changes nothing.

    Inner Quiet,
    Steady Hand,
    Waste Not,
    Standard touch x 4
Careful Synth until I need one to complete. ToT where it lets me, ruminate and if I have durability, steady Hand More Standard Touch.

This system usually lets me craft between 88% and 100% quality, two levels above me.
