    Actually, I suddenly think I know why the CT raids are going so much faster, though I could be wrong. The raid-wide DPS totals are higher now than they were, and not just because of ilevel creep. Before, it was 2tanks/2healers/4DPS, and now it's 1Tank/2healers/5DPS. We literally have more damage now than we could have had then, even with matching item levels.

    Only LotA had two tanks. Dps totals have gone up, but that's because of values being changed with ShB's release. At the end of the last expansion, you would not be skipping the second flare on the last boss or killing Behemoth before the second meteor, Party C would get in some hits on Thanatos instead of it being dead by the start of B, etc. In Rabanastre, you could skip some mechanics on the second boss with proper gear and a group that knew how to perform rotations. Now, even average groups are skipping those same mechanics (though not all, which says a lot about DF).
