Let Us Call Urianger Out ((Spoilers))

Urianger is a pathological lying knife eared Shakespearean twit, but I love him.

We should just be given an option at the start of the next expansion or patch to ask Urianger what he is lying about at the moment.

"Urianger, what are you telling half truths or concealing at the moment that will be revealed eventually and lead you to existential guilt?"

Then again he might just implode like a guilt star going supernova if we directly call him out.

Seeing as both "lies" where we know the full story involved him having to conceal information from us to ensure we could save the First / the Source / our own lives... yes, it quite possibly might.

He's not just lying to us because he feels like doing it. It's because he can logically see that it's the only choice he has in that particular circumstance, or worse things may happen as a result.

Yes, that being the first of the two instances I was talking about. He's on our side the entire time, while playing along with Elidibus and pretending to assist him. (The first time we see the Warriors accompanied by the mysterious 'masked man', they're accusing him of taking them the long way around so we got to slay Garuda before they did - which he probably did deliberately.)

He can't tell the Scions what's going on, in case Elidibus is watching, and he can't tell the Warriors because there's every chance they'll side with Elidibus over him. The only way to ensure the plan succeeds is to not tell anyone, thus he has to conceal his motives and pull the strings on both sides equally - right up until the critical moment where everything is in place, and Elidibus won't be able to stop them even if he realises it's happening.

I was like "Really, Uri? Didn't we have this discussion once before?" Yeah I get why he was doing it but after everything him and the WoL have been through I would expect a little trust. As it stand right now I wouldn't trust him to feed my chocobo.

This honestly, I'm glad he was able to move on and start showering Ryne with love and appreciation but before that, I'll admit I /slapped him for mopping and being mean to her.
