    Hey, Rivxkobe.

Tenacity is a good melding option for Tanks.

    Bye xD.

Also, i stand by when i say:

75% of the Elitist/Toxic ppl in this game are Raiders who for some reason think just because they can follow a step by step instruction from a guide and clear "Hard content" with the help of 3rd Party Apps suddenly gives them the right to look down on the rest of the playerbase.

The remaining 25% are the Mentors, most who raid themselves, seems to offer more criticisms instead of actually providing good sound advice.

The Raider's think so highly of themselves, they blatantly sell Ex Trial/Savage wins for Paypal transfers on the Party finder everyday lol.

Go ahead and hate, but deep down inside you know it's true. And for all the Raiders saying casual content is toxic? It's toxic because they're in it.

I actually gave up on mentoring after a while.

Most of the time I was met with silence or straight up hostility after offering advice. And I don't mean criticism, but advice worded at nicely as possible.
A specific example that comes to mind is a WHM that kept using Cure III on the tank, so he kept running out of MP and caused wipes because of it.
I told them, and I quote "I know it's pretty misleading, but Cure II actually heals more than Cure III". Nothing.
They kept spamming Cure III until they were out of MP, I repeated myself 2 more times and once with a sound effect (<se.1>). Still nothing.
We only managed to clear, because the PLD started using Clemency to keep the party alive after the WHM ran out of MP.

Other times I was attacked for telling a tank to use cooldowns on big pulls, he called me a s*** healer and I should just heal more instead of using Holy.

All of that is no longer my problem, I'll give you tips if you ask, but otherwise I'll stay silent most of the time, I no longer feel it's worth the effort trying to teach someone unless it's directly causing wipes or they're actively trying to learn (by asking questions). My point here is, good/nice mentors get harassed out of mentoring by casual/new players not wanting to take advice or even attacking you for giving advice.

I'll let you decide who the toxic one is.

I would wager that in the early days of any new content the bad apples are more likely to be out in force.

I have seen both good attitudes and bad ones from players at all skill levels. There isn’t a connection there.

There will always be people who go through life thinking the best strat is to cast blame and make accusations, and those who work in unity and cooperation.

As people find statics and FCs they like, they will have less exposure to the toxic elements, but those elements are always out there.

My experience is that mentors are generally crap at it. Most of them dont actually know the mechanics of the fights, classes, or content and end up pushing out misleading or bad information. The raiding community tends to be better informed and will gladly give you tips and tricks IF you arent a jerk and actually are genuine in learning. Whether you believe or not, there are plenty of players who just want that "Tell me what to push so I can do max DPS" advice, not realizing there's a bit more to it, or when you give them tips when they ask they blow it off saying "Oh thats to hard/stupid/not what I heard from 'X'". That last one usually being they skipped to some part of a youtube video that said 'x thing is good' but they didnt watch the whole video where theres context around that statement.

These same players, btw, are the first to usually start saying "I was top DPS and its all your fault we wiped." not realizing that they were either not top DPS or were ignoring mechanics up to the wipe just so they can have big numbers. Lastly, Considering the 'tenacity is a good stat' thing, most RAIDERS will tell it's situational and there is nuance regarding the stat. Generally, the people who tell you outright it is a crap stat, never get it, etc, are people who (like I said above) take things out of context. Inversely, people who say Tenacity is a great stat generally havent read enough on the subject and are making assumptions about it's usefulness. My experience: Most experienced raiders will tell you something along the lines of "Tenacity a prog stat generally speaking, but is not optimal compared to other stats due to DPS checks and finishing the fight faster. If you are struggling to stay alive, it can help." They will explain teh nuance - something I find most 'mentors' fail to do.

Beyond that, I pretty much think your thoughts on whos toxic and not are pretty much not on point.

This is a blanket statement. this is not about feelings It about being a helpful, positive player in the community, and yes I do want to improve and be better but at the same time I do not need the BS, Feelings can get in the ways at times, but we are human and not robots so you need to take that into consideration as well.

Honestly, it's not really happening a lot on US servers either, in my experience.

I do believe that if everybody you're running into is drama or difficult...maybe it's not them, maybe it's you.

Granted, it could be luck, but I can still count the number of toxic encounters I've had in this game on one hand...and while I was gone for most of HW, I've otherwise been around since Titan HM (not EX) was endgame content.
