Wyvern Suggestion

The whole lore behind the making of dragoon makes no sense.
First..for some reason AZURE dragoons come from a legendary sword swallowing dragon from ragnarok that is BLACK in color.

Second, ignoring the azure dragoons...it seems that random dragons give their souls to soldiers in roder to turn them into dragoon because....why not! aka, to fight dragons...so random dragons give souls to humans to fight dragons for no reason. Sweet...but thats not where it ends!

The sole purpose of Ishgard is to kill dragons, now...dragons are their source of dragoons...if ishgard kills all dragons there would be no new dragoons and ishgard would become the weakest of all cities against the Empire.

yes...the lore for ishgard army and dragoon making is useless.

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that dragons did not "give" their souls to us but that we "took" their souls from them upon destroying them. and who is to say that there isn't a vast supply of dragons I mean they do reproduce.

Make both sides happy. Wyverns are optional. You didnt have to call yours in xi if you didnt want to. Make getting a wyvern an option and calling it to fight with you an option, then if your opposed to it all you have to do is not click the "call Wyvern" command. Simple.

Personally I DO want a wyvern pet. Drg in xi would have been alot more boring without that thing flying next to you and it really didnt make much of a diff if you had it out or not, the damage it did was minimal at best. I miss it in xiv. But thats my choice, so I should have the option. The community seems pretty split down the middle on this so doing it this way would appease the masses.

The only reason I want a wyvern is because I never got to play DRG in FFXI, that being said, I understand them not adding them in to this game.

Edit: Although, I did skip all the DRG dialogue in the game, why did the last boss for the job change have you fight a DRG with a dragon at his side?

The DRG u fought in the last boss for the job is because he has succumb to the Dragon Nidhogg's influence, hence becoming the evil dragon that DRG suppose to destroy (Like SWTOR Jedi & Sith yo). Is more like being control by the bad boss dragon Nidhogg.

Dragoons in all the final fantasies were dragon killers, they just kill the evil or dangerous ones. In XI your job was to kill the Wyvern u hatched because they were all evil but that one had a holy mark.

I still stand by my idea. Make an optional quest for dragoon at 2.0 that rewards us with a Wyvern pet. Those who choose the other quest get something else.

If lore is your defense then its safe to say that its not known that all dragons are evil just the ones serving nidhogg. The draconian race would violate the lore u hold so dear.

And I agree with the quest for 2.0, I would like my Wyvern pet I had in FFXI.

Admittedly I do not like playing lancer. its only level 15, I HAD to level up 1 lvl so I could get monk and I hated every second. (Defense was so crappish, maybe im not doing it right tho)

Nonetheless, certain events in my personal life (strange as that may sound) have cause me to be more sympathetic to the "Carry" type. (I use this Dota/lol term because thats kinda what DRG and BLM are.)

I think a mount would be a great idea. Something to show off that you are a mighty conquistador of dragons, they don't rule you you rule them. Any one played Legend of Dragoon?

Dragoons are dragon slayers here but that does not mean that one day there might be a dragon you would show compassion for. It would also be great if you could raise said dragon from birth.
