The idea
Hello, my request is to add an opt-in function on the duty roulette menu called "Allow limited jobs". By ticking this option, you are consenting that you can be matched up with people playing limited jobs such as Blue Mage when you queue for roulettes.

But why?
When Blue Mage was released, the development team chose not to allow it to queue for dungeons and trials through the duty finder for a very valid reason - due to the nature of how Blue Mage collects abilities, there was no guarantee that they would have a decent set of spells and may hold the group back, which would be unfair on other players. This is completely understandable and reasonable. However, I feel that completely removing the ability for limited jobs to queue for duties outside of premade parties is too restrictive, so I have suggested this opt-in as a way to open limited jobs up a little more, while still acknowledging the potential risks to a party.

What would be the advantages?
  • Limited jobs can now queue in the duty finder!
  • As this is opt-in, non-limited jobs will still get preferential treatment with regards to how fast queues move, which benefits new players.
  • This allows Blue Mages struggling to find groups more opportunity to get spells that are only found in dungeons and trials.
  • It provides more variety for people doing their roulettes - being grouped with a good Blue Mage with a fun selection of spells is going to make running through early level content much more interesting!
  • It increases the number of people playing these limited jobs, as currently the heavy restrictions is limiting their numbers.
  • More limited jobs are planned, and this will be a good way to increase their visibility and viability.
  • More fun for everyone!
