    Create Instances for Events?

    i don’t understand why they don’t create instances when events are happening? the amount of players + lag is absolutely abysmal. also sometimes i find it hard to locate the NPC vendors to get items because there’s way too many people in one spot.

    it kinda kills any popular event for me honestly and i can’t afford to buy a pc that could have a smooth framerate during these times. i think instanced events would greatly help with this issue just like when expansions are released?

    I imagine because any instances would only be required for the first day/few days then the event would die down once everyone has done it. Events have plenty of time to participate plus you can also travel to other worlds to complete them now so that's probably the dev reasoning behind them for not having instances.

    i suppose. really wish it wasn’t packed and laggy on all servers though... thats what i mostly want to try avoiding by dividing the players up

    It'd still be appreciated to do so. We have multiple instances for all the bigger areas with a new expac, when after a few weeks we only need those for when people are doing hunts and lagging up an area. This would also allow them to get more creative with the event stuff. It'd feel like some life was breathed into the events if they did this.

    If it's instanced, wouldn't it explicitly be devoid of life? In the sense that, no other players are present?

    Honestly, the thought of turning events into awkward empty solo experiences is enough to keep devs from instancing anything. They're meant to be celebrations, something that's generally encouraged to do socially.

    Well I've no idea how easy it is to introduce instances to begin with, if it can only be done during maintenance then that means it would have to be scheduled every time there is an event, for the beginning and at the end, which could be a bit unnecessary. Events on the other other hand tend to have a switch to activate/deactivate them at the set times so it doesn't really effect anyone's playing time you know.
