So from what I understand, the devs over at square need new ideas for a healer. So hear me out,...

GEOMANCER

It could operate much like mechanist does with turrets, but with trees providing powerful aoe heals. Instead of directly healing with skills, the geomancer could keep these tree-turrets alive with a dual purpose AOE spell, specifically water/watera/waterga to both deal damage and water the plant life. In solo adventures the trees could garner aggro with each heal and in duties or trials the various AOE abilities could deal damage to the trees if the boss does not aggro them. The geomancer could also spawn various plant life, like a mighty oak to heal a tank, mushrooms for various status effects, and if the geomancer is in trouble perhaps a fissure of magma, or the spell comet! Not to mention being able to spawn a powerful yggdrasil sapling as an ultimate healing ability B-).

I believe that since square is having trouble with a new healing class, this could be the answer they are looking for! It fits with final fantasy lore, it would make for new/interesting gameplay, and to top it all off the armor would look incredible!
