    I want a damage meter!

I know there is a parser out there, but SE dose not want us to use it. I want to maximize my dps to make the most of my tool kit. Without being able to see my numbers, how can I know if I’m improving or failing. I also do not want to get banned for using the parser. I’m not sure why SE does not just make it part of the game. Maybe they could give us a target dummy that would show us our personal numbers so we could improve our own performance.

You can use the parser. You just can't use it to berate others.

To be blunt Stone Sky Sea isn't an accurate reflection of DPS during an actual fight. It's a dummy parser. It'll verify that you meet the bare minimum gear requirements to meet the savage DPS checks and confirm you have some familiarity with the class you're playing, but it won't verify how well you are performing in the actual fight itself.

What I'd personally like to see is a self-only in-game parser that can only be turned on or off inside a sanctuary area. If someone wants to know their actual DPS, they will use that, but it explicitly cannot be used to harass other users in the manner Yoshi-P describes in previous interviews without other players asking you to turn it on, which can similarly be avoided by adding a PF option requiring that it be on for players to join.

The OP expressly mentioned a "target dummy that would show us our personal numbers so we could improve our own performance." This is Stone Sky Sea

I want numbers also. But I think the joke is on us - as the game already has a damage meter. Unfortunately you only get to see it at the end of PvP.
Just put the existing PvP screen at the end of each dungeon/trial etc. Problem solved.

Game has tight DPS checks --> no parser for PS4 people????
And nope, Stone sky sea does not help me get better during mechanics.

Yep, many people want a fully functional damage meeter into the game so that we don't have to use a cluncky and buggy third party program.

But you know... there's this old prophecy that the implementation of a damage meter into the game will be the start of the next umbral calamity... so they better not.

Like anyone has ever done that. SE is paranoid about that for some weird reason, yet never seen it happen in ANY game, including those that had a parser built in. Maybe it's a Japanese thing, where all the nails have to be exactly the same height.
