Can this possibly be finished a bit better? Why even bother making it dye-able if it's going to look like this lol

"Deepshadow" Theme, it's in the name.
I'm confused, what's wrong with it? If you mean getting an off white that's more grey with Snow White, did you check to see how it would look with Pure White?
It is rather unusual for an item that starts off with only two colors to switch to three when dyed. You'd expect either all the black sections to take on the dye color, or possibly all the red sections to do so. But here, half of the originally black sections are dyable while the other half remain black.
Even though the result can be pretty cool looking if you choose a third color that looks good with the original two, I can see how it could take someone by surprise if they were expecting a more typical dye pattern that would let them change the overall color scheme more completely.
I'm only guessing about whether th that's the OP's issue with it, though, since he didn't really say.
I know it's not a problem exclusive to this gear set, a lot of gear only looks good if dyed around it's original scheme. I guess I was just surprised how bad this one in particular looked. You really can't dye it to anything other than black or red.
Oh well, glamoured over it unfortunately. Maybe if I decide to change back to red/black motif I'll check it out again. I'm not big into glamour but all the rest of my gear was white so I like to at least somewhat match.
The Deepshadow set was never "Two colors" two begin with, it was always three. a dull metallic black, red, and pitch black.
Sadly another piece of armor that looks plastic dyed
At least it looks cool as default
