It's no harder than the Leap of Faith GATE, imo. I enjoy it.

Yes, the point is to challenge yourself, but it feels way less rewarding for struggling non-cheaters to get to the top when they get passed/accompanied by a bunch of Self Destructing Blue Mages.Isn't the point to challenge yourself? Or at least that's how it seems to me. That being the case it should still be rewarding for you regardless of how others do it. You even get better bragging rights "I did so n so with out any cheats"
If you mean others may not feel the same sense of reward as you did well..respectfully that is not for you to deiced.
I felt the no mount thing was more to stop people being from being obnoxious and sitting on the steps with a giant mount and less about cheating.
And the "no mount thing" was indeed made to prevent griefing. Never claimed anything else.
I enjoy watching people make the climb.

Other people enjoying the event by cheesing through it does not in any way detract from anyone else's ability to enjoy the event.
If you enjoy the challenge, great. If you don't enjoy the challenge, that's fine, too.
You enjoy it your way. I'll enjoy it my way.
No it's not a fair point because you still know for yourself if you achieved the top with or without cheating.
After trying it the challenging way for hours I was glad in the end to be able to be warped up there and still having the chance to take some nice screenshots without the need to go insane while trying to get up there.

I actually shouted something similar in kugane once. It turned out it was just easier to spend 4 hours failing until I finally got to the top of the tower lol. It did make for some amusing conversations though!
So they bothered to use resources to code and embed a “No Mount Allowed” zone, but can’t use resources to code in a tower with rewards? Square Enix’s work ethic has recently become questionable to me..
That kinda defeats the whole point with the challenge dosen't it, rewarding people for not completing the thing? I mean can you imagine the reactions if they would add an "I Win Button" to Raids and Trials? Just because people had a hard time beating them?No it's not a fair point because you still know for yourself if you achieved the top with or without cheating.

Just because the reward isn't physical like an item or achievement dosen't mean you should get it for free without really doing the challenge. I mean, the fewer people who manage to get up, the more rewarding the challenge will feel to those who do.
Sure, this is very opinionated, but personally I'm highly against rewarding people for something they didn't manage to complete.
I'll have to disagree. It makes the challenge way less enjoyable when you have people spamming Self Destruct left and right. And when their group of 4+ people clog up pins making it really difficult to see where you're going. Only to know that they will get to the top without the effort that you're making.
