I will admit I have a feeling for Emet-Selch, but not love
It isn't real love.. because the character is fictional.
It is the mark of a fantastic story when you feel emotional towards characters - both good and bad.
It was the same when I played through the Dragon Age series
Are you happily married? Could it be this is filling some kind of space?

Y’all need Hydaelyn
Lol really though I think feeling ‘connected’ to a character in the story like this - like a friend- is a mark of the great quality of writing. Characters you meet throughout the story feel like their own people and not a device to progress quest line. If the characters were bland or uninspired it wouldn’t really be possible to get that feeling.
I hope SE is able to continue the high quality of the story writing and characters in future (not that I have any reason to doubt that they would lol)
Sorry girl, Crystal Exarch has already wifes, a thousands of them.![]()

To the OP, since normality is just an average of individual crazyness, you don't have to worry.![]()

Big feels, OP! I don't think yoshi's gonna let our WoDs/WoL's have romantic subplots.
Immersion breaking EB was supposed to satisfy the romance need and I ain't having it.
Anywho there is some primo almost professional quality fanfic out there and a lot it is built with self insertion in mind. Give those a shot if you haven't already some of these people can really write.
It would be nice though to have an optional romance subplot at some point. Our WoDs/WoL's are probably getting lonely without an actual companion..at least mine is.Big feels, OP! I don't think yoshi's gonna let our WoDs/WoL's have romantic subplots.

And most likely be taken captive, used as leverage or even killed off sooner or later.
Nothing cries out more to be a target than being a companion of a powerful, primal-slaying, world(s)-saving entity which you can possibly exploit for your own purposes.

The Star Wars MMO did it well. I just don't see it happening here.
And while I love a lot of the characters in the game and my WoL would spark up a romance with a few, I don't feel real romantic attraction towards fictional characters. It's fine to feel attraction and emotion towards a well-written character, but taking it seriously like those guys who marry 2D girls? There's some emotional disorder going on there.
