I must find this macro you speak of.I forget the macro, but there is one to remove all regens from yourself.
I used to mash that macro at the end of a pull, all the way till the next.
havent played a tank in a leveling dungeon in years though, so not sure if it still functions the same way or not. (nor do i remember the command)
but in theory, it should work.
It's always been an issue. A reason it could be popping up more is they made grabbing aggro really easy. One Total Eclipse could hold aggro while pulling with Regen. You still shouldn't Regen until the pull is done.
"I thought they took that feature away?"
Like this person. They have somewhat of a clue of what they're doing. They probably thought Tanks were the only role that could aggro.
I have never cared with or without regen mid pulls
And haven't met anyone that did
If its causing me to chase mobs down, I just start right clicking it off every time they reapply early. If its not, then i just let it be. Either way, I don't make a discussion about it because people get upset/offended if you make suggestions/requests that run counter to how they want to play.
Or you simply adjust your pulling, 95% of pulls can be solved by something like.
Sprint > go close > mob spots you and queues its first attack (even if a regen was to tick now the mob would run to you) > tank aoe > get next set.
If you however pull with ranged the mobs will run towards you ... your Global wont be up again by the time they reach you, they hit you once and go for the healer.
So yea regen on pull is no problem if the tank adjusts, if they want to do that is up to them ... but its not "omg i cant tank cuz i get regen during pull"
Cant kill them all the healer likely thinks hes doing his bestm
Sch has this problem by default now. If your fairy heals the tank (she will cast this on 99% hp) she would get hate ... however the fairy cant be targeted anymore so it goes straight for the sch.
Just use your AoE combo. Tanks generate an obscene amount of enmity. Let the healer regen you.
Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour
With the Shb enmity/tank stance changes regen should no longer be a problem, as long as Tank and Healer know what they are doing:
Tank: has to hit all mobs with aoe/or any attack before running to the next grp of mobs (when doing big pulls)
Healer: has to stick to the tanks ass, so the tank can pull any mobs of the healer with a simple aoe attack.
If the healer gets aggro and runs away -> bad healer
If the tank doesn´t hit all mobs -> bad tank
The pulling game for tanks is how to get to where you need to be while taking the least amount of autos and still hit everything along the way.
As mentioned above, you can do a run-by AOE if the group is close enough together.
regarding this issue, you can pull with provoke as you run up.
1. it is off the gcd.
2. it has farther reach than a typical 15y range attack, allows more time for mobs to converge by the time you get to them.
though with that said, as a healer until I can confirm my tank knows what he's doing in the first pull, I wouldn't risk regen mid-run.
I was so confused, when you guys said midpull, I thought you meant like during the middle of the fight, not literally mid pulling of enemies. I was thinking "if you can't use regen prepull and can't use it mid fight, when exactly do you use it?"
You should definitely not regen a tank who's in the middle of pulling things. That's still a bad idea for the same reason it was a bad idea before.
